I play in a freeroll league where its hard to get .01 cent, basically top 1% of the full field. But for me, it wasn't the return, it was practise, practise, practise...
It's hard to get to the final table in freeroll MTT's given the large fields, comprised of donkey's, fish, and sharks.
I first started out playing premium hands and that taught me patience. You can't win any tournament in the first round...
Then, I became bubble boy. So close but yet so far! I would incur time count to try linger a little longer.
On my return to
online poker, my bubble burst and I was ITM... the new improved me. I focused more on learning, focused more on playing MTT's, chatting... whatever, I became a sponge.
As with that, I accepted advise from a new league buddy and her advice got me to the final table. In a massive field, use your allotted time, 'the clock will drop more players then you ever will' and so I did and it did.
It seemed contradictory. Combined with position, stealing blinds, develope plays for later, I had time to stradegize.
For MTT play, it is long time to play. Your game does not improve with just one hand so get out there and mix it up. Play, play, play and that can mean a lot of sitting and waiting, the boring aspect of it you can not change so adjust.
I find myself at a different stage of development from you but it is expected. Your style will develope. So keep at it and good luck
