It's good that you're not playing a lot of hands, especially given AJ or KQ. In the early stages, all the donks will go all-in. What you want to do is, take advantage on this. Pay very close attention to how each player plays. Wait until middle stages to build chip stack. Most of these donks will still remain in the game out of peer luck. Take advantage of that. When given premium hands like 10/ 10, raise 3 times the pot to steal the blinds. Chances are everyone is going to start caring about the money, even if it's 20 cents. When the money comes, all the donks won't care, because they're in the money! Wait again unless you have great hands. Then when you hit late stages, start stealing the blinds, even if your stack is low. Everyone is going to play tight. Good Luck!

Thanks for the good advice! I want to get into the top 3 tournament!

Just sit and wait playing tight and watch the action at the tables. Early on in the tourney is the time to make some huge stacks from those calling all in bets with terrible hands. If you can survive that early on and get a nice chip stack you can loosen up a bit and roll more people with small stacks. Take advantage of the lunatics early on and see if you can't score some easy chips. But once they are gone be aware and adjust your game accordingly.

And always ask yourself if you are sure you want to push before doing so or calling someone down. If it is for all your chips make sure you have the nuts!

The main rule of the start of the tournament is to survive .... The donks do not think twice and go all-in with letters ... ridiculous Oh, you run the risk of involving much of his chips and lose to a pair of 5 kkkk
After the initial phase, oh yes it is time to be aggressive, steal some chips and put the people to run!

hard to play by the rules! in such tournaments lot of aggressive maniacs!
Play by the rules? There are NO rules in poker.

The more you play freerolls the better feel you get. But, not all freerolls play the same. So, what may work well in one may not in the other.

If the freeroll has an aggressive structure, you have to look for spots to gamble. If you wait forever for AA KK an the like you many times can be felted before you really can play.

How often do these run? Are they the same type tourneys. If they run often and are the same type, I wouldn't worry about busting early. Take some chances early and experiment.

If they are CardsChat freerolls, it's a little different--but not much. Take chances experiment and see what seems to be working.

Of course you may want to ignore what I say all together. I am the King of The Bubble! :D

question that I always ask myself .. so many tactics I've played that I've never had one that was winer tactics.all tactics actually boils down to other players.the most of all, read other players, determine the style of each player, and each player then apply a special tactic.

In first 15 minutes try to survives.. I think you already know that in freerolls play many idiots who go all in early with bad hands. After that you have to play thight-agressive.

In the begining i would say that you should limp some speculative hands(small pairs, suted conectors) when you have position and you stack is still deep. Just try to look for situations when you can invest very little and get big payoff if you hit the flop. Of course you should study your opponents but that is not so important at theese freerolls because often you have to change places from tables. Try to avoid all ins because you can't control your hand after preflop and many players will go all in with trash hands that might still hit flop and your's won't. When you have high pair from QQ to AA play agressive don't try to slow roll them. The main advice is - play simple poker and don't try bluffing or anything complicated in early stages. Sorry for my bad English. I would recommend you a book “Kill Everyone“ by Lee Nelson. There are many good things that you should learn.

That's great in theory and sure often your monster is going to help you double up, but problem with going all in is that you don't know what cards are gonna be dealt and you can easily lose with AA to Q2 or trash like that. I see it every day. Some lucky donk goes all in with total trash and ends up winning big pot. Unfortunately AA or another strong hand doesn't guarantee you anything if you're forced to push all in preflop.

Personally pokerstars freeroll to be many participants in the game starting hands all or nothing with more or less strong hands or just that I like.
From last if I get out I lose nothing, is free. If I get a big stack of chips then yes, you game seriously to achieve collection targets.

From any position, regardless of anything else - go all-in with AA, KK, AKs. You will be able to play normally, playing these hands only and no more. I usually play 4 hands for the first 90 minutes and have an average stack.

you should try to play passive or less trying to get to break the triple chips you get at the beginning.

I personally treat them like a regular tournament and try to play as best as I can, despite the maniacs. If you have time on your hands and play a lot of those, a good result is bound to come. Now, since it's a freeroll and you don't lose any of your money, if you want to go for an early double-up by shoving a relatively good hand, it's not a bad tactic. If you win you'll have a bigger stack for later on. If you lose just go for the next one. Personally I don't do this a lot unless I have Aces or Kings early on, but it's not a bad tactic for a freroll. Of course if there are already 3-4 people all in, you'd better think twice about it.
Bottom line, it's not much about playing poker, more about applying tournament strategies (playing your position, be aware of your stack in relation to the blinds, pick your spots etc.)

Usually, blinds go up so fast during those tournaments that you don't have the time to wait for AA, KK or AK. You are forced to play lesser hands.

TAG-style in the early stages. Freerolls are circus loads of times, if you get your aces cracked på 8-3 off, just suck it up and keep playing. Don't be afraid to
stack off with good hands, as people call with almost anything that looks good in their eyes. Even Ace rag without a hit or draw.
When the late-game comes, things start to look more like real poker.
But when the bubble bursts, prepare to face the donkish ways again...

Good luck!

Cheers
