Harrington on Hold’em. I recommend reading 2 volumes. Very much helps to improve the game in tournament poker.

Poker is changing. Many books are outdated. I watch videos on how people play now.

Barry Greenstein - Ace On The River. In this book, Barry is very honest on such topics as gambling addiction, the unsavory people you meet playing poker, the guilt you may feel in relieving people of money, and what abilities it takes to be a professional poker player. In all things, Barry is surprisingly candid and full of interesting, intelligent takes on things most aspiring poker pros should be thinking about.

Harrington on Holdem is still relevant because he does a great job explaining the thought process you should go through in tournament poker hands.

Jonathan Little's books are also good for tournament poker.

I would start with these two:
David Sklansky's The Theory of Poker
Doyle Brunson's Super System

a lot of the books you will find have outdated info and strategy in them and unless you are a beginner, wont be of much help. I'd recommend looking over some of the training websites out there like upswing/ tournament poker edge/ run it once ect. you will get a lot more value for the dollar there than in most books.

The Theory Of Poker. Not the most exciting but good info. I'll need to read it twice tbh.

for me personally, Advanced Concepts of Poker: A Guaranteed Income for Life by Frank Wallace. It takes a different approach from the average book taking you alongside a grinder who runs home games and travels to casinos. The depth in which he studies his opponents, their incomes, the game, cheating, awareness and the way he explains his methods of keeping players in the game, not giving too much info, and taking proper notes and adjustments really showed me how much effort people are putting into poker and gave me motivation to start being more mindful with my playing and learning. It still does have standard hands and quizzes/explanations on hands and ranges but it isn't the main focus of the book.

You really made me curious about this book, let's see where I can find it :)) thanks mate ;)
