I prefer tournaments. Because in it you have the opportunity to meet his opponent, have a read on his playing style.

I like more tournaments , it's really a question of control and I think they are different ways to play ,

It's not a question of control when strategy and skill level is the real deal. :p

I used to be strictly a cash game player. Now I'm strictly a tournament player. Now I'd only play cash live.

Tourneys are better i believe. Cash games are a tough grind for the most part, more stressful.

For me, cash games provide a more steady profit. I will play the occasional tournament to take a shot at a big score but cash games are my bread and butter.

I've been a tournament player my entire life. Live growing up a couple blocks from the strip in Vegas, and since the internet poker craze kicked off.
Always moderately successful at tournaments, and crap at cash games.

But!!!
I've been playing cash games at the encouragement of somebody telling me "Download Polished Poker Vol I"

I figured I've read most poker books. Still great tourney play, crap ring games. No E-Book is going to help me.

This guy actually opened my eyes to most if not all of my weaknesses and I'm only half done with his e-book.

I've had very few negative sessions without knowing when to get out and my profit is up like crazy.

So in summary I'm actually starting to enjoy cash games as much ( almost ) as tournament play....

I would say it depends on both bankroll and mental state. If my roll is low I avoid cash games. I base the focus of my initial bankroll on tournaments simply to minimize risk, as it is hard to find cash games below 1/2 live most times. If my mental state isn't there, I simply won't play, as I have found that it is mildly therapeutic to play small tournies and continually punt , that isn't fair to those players... so yea :)

Sometimes cash games and sometimes tourneys. If I do not want to play for hours or do not have the time I play cash games. When I really have time I like a good tournament.

Back in my fixed limit days, it was cash only.

Now that I'm trying my hand at NL, I think I like tourneys better. And they're definitely cheaper for my non-existant bankroll. MTTs take a long while, though...

I actually like SNGs the most. I love tournaments and cash games as well, but I'd say probably 70% of my online play is in SNGs.

I definitely mix it up. Cash games have a steadier profit but grinding can get old after a while. That's why I will branch out and play as many different games as I can find.

Really even I donot which is what I like , because in the two even I do not have my forte, I played at tables and lots adjustment of the players, the closed most although there are times you encounter people who relagan their tabs, change in tournaments can win a large sum if you're good , to be seen with the experience which I feel more jjaja

Excuse my translation , I do not understand the English
