Now I'm just a poker player. I tried to bet on sports, but the income was too small. I'm not interested in casinos at all.

Playing poker for money 💰 is gambling 🎰 so I am a gambler but I don’t gamble anything else but poker. And I use bankroll management. Which is very important that I don’t get attached emotionally .

In a video by Elias Gutierrez "Zerospoker", he talks about the 6 sacred commandments that must be respected to be a good poker player.
And one of them talks about being a gambler.
Although luck in poker is very influential, there are other factors that are not so lucky.
Casinos in all their game concepts is pure luck.
So in my case I think I'm a poker player.
Although I have been to casinos, I am not a compulsive gambler. You could say that I'm going to have a fun time with my wife, have dinner, play slots, and not much more than that.
I don't play in online casinos either.
Greetings:):):)

I play poker for fun but I make most of my money betting on football.
Any money I make playing poker is a bonus.

Definitely a poker player, I don't gamble. While luck is certainly a factor in poker, the combination of skill and strategy in poker allows for more control over the outcome, which can lead to more consistent results over time. I focus on studying the game, analyzing hands, and improving my skills because I find joy and satisfaction in the intellectual challenge

Poker to me is not Gambling, It is a game where you have to pay a Fee (buy-in) to play and If you do well and finish in a good position, then you receive a reward for playing well.
Just like going to watch a Football or Rugby game you have to pay a Buy-in to enter the ground or pay a Buy-in to watch a Film in the Cinemas. but with Poker you always have a chance to walk out with more money than you had walking in. You cannot do that in a Cinema.
Paying a Buy-in is the ticket price you have to pay, to play, it's that simple, and if you can afford it Why not?
If you cannot afford to pay for a football ticket then you can sit at home watching the game on TV. Me? I just play a Freeroll!
Poker is what you make it, It isn't only about Winning or Losing, It is about enjoying yourself doing the thing you enjoy. And if that's watching 22 grown men chasing a ball around a field for 90 minutes, Good Luck to you.

Distinguishing a poker player from a gambler often comes down to their approach to the game and their mindset. Here are some characteristics that can help define a poker player:

  1. Skill and Strategy: A poker player focuses on developing and utilizing their skills and strategies to gain an edge over their opponents. They understand the importance of probabilities, game theory, and making informed decisions based on available information.
  2. Bankroll Management: Poker players understand the importance of managing their bankroll effectively. They set aside a specific amount of money for playing poker and make calculated decisions to protect their bankroll from unnecessary risks.
  3. Emotional Control: Poker players strive to maintain emotional control and avoid letting emotions influence their decision-making. They understand that variance and short-term luck can lead to temporary losses but remain focused on long-term profitability.
  4. Patience and Discipline: Successful poker players exhibit patience and discipline. They don't chase losses or play hands impulsively. Instead, they wait for favorable situations and exercise discipline in their betting and folding decisions.
  5. Game Study and Improvement: Poker players continuously study the game, analyze their own play, and seek ways to improve. They may read books, watch training videos, discuss strategies with other players, or review their hand histories to identify areas for growth.
On the other hand, a gambler typically approaches the game with a more casual or recreational mindset. Here are some characteristics that can define a gambler:

  1. Reliance on Luck: Gamblers tend to rely heavily on luck rather than skill or strategy. They may believe in superstitions, lucky charms, or rituals that have no real impact on the game's outcome.
  2. Impulsive Behavior: Gamblers may make impulsive decisions without considering long-term consequences or assessing the odds and probabilities. They may chase losses, bet recklessly, or play emotionally.
  3. Lack of Bankroll Management: Gamblers often fail to implement proper bankroll management techniques. They may bet more than they can afford to lose, risking significant financial losses.
  4. Short-Term Focus: Gamblers are typically more focused on short-term results and immediate gratification. They may prioritize instant wins over long-term profitability or consistent play.
It's important to note that these characteristics are not absolute and that there can be overlap between poker players and gamblers. Some players may exhibit a mix of both traits. However, a serious poker player tends to embody the skill, discipline, and long-term approach that differentiates them from a casual gambler.

I am a poker player, I follow the same strategy as a Pro player, I respect bankroll management, I try to copy technical strategies like a Pro player, I try as much as possible to better manage tilt and believe process in order to generate a good return on investment.

I am against being a gambler because the result on the long turn is already known, you can never win if you gamble, so it is better to follow the right path.

In the psychology of gambling, there are many classifications of players - according to what is most important for them in the game, according to the type of thinking and temperament, and even according to how they influence the behavior of opponents.Quite a common type of players who believe that you can win only thanks to the "feel".But this only works if it is based on knowledge and not on instinct.I'm not a gambler, but I play poker.

I mostly only play poker. Sometimes, but rarely, I bet on sports, but these bets are more for interest than money. I don't consider myself a gambler, for me poker is just entertainment in my spare time.
