no, i am playing poker right now becuase i enjoy it and i want to learn, freerolls allow me to do both with out having to put my own money into it. if this wasnt an option i would probably have put in a small ammout of my own money to fulfill my current objectives.

I'll play as long as my money lasts. I have never deposited my own money, but I have withdrawn and deposited some poker winnings to other sites. Without freerolls and free money I would probably lose interest after awhile.

I would stop playing online poker without freerolls. I'm a small stakes player and need them for the bankroll. There is a casino a hour from here, I might revisit, but probably not. For better or worse freerolls keep me in the game.

Never, but it would certainly limit how often I play as freerolls are my main game for studying poker and players.

At any moment - because it's just entertainment

I think this is the best answer to my question and I want to wish everyone that everyone treats poker like that, because Important not the conditions, but important motives.

I would just play a lot less. Now I play mostly freerolls and sometimes small tournaments. After the closing of the freerolls, I would just play a few tournaments a month.

I'll leave online poker. I want to build my bankroll with freerolls, before using my own money.

I feel it has already started happening. Rake increasing and all the bonuses, freerolls, rakeback reducing. And all the former poker sites promoting casino and sports betting more.
Some of the incentive and excitement has been drained from playing.
I certainly play a lot less now and don't care about trying to maintain vip levels anymore.
But still need to have some poker most days.

Can't say I'd leave poker. I don't rely on freerolls for my bankroll. What would suck however is the dramatic reduction in the player pool fbecome a barren wastor those who do. It would become a barren wasteland IMO.

Will you leave poker if there are no more freerolls, no deposit bonuses, rakebacks in the near future in poker rooms?

Hardly propet all that you describe) And if the freerolls are gone, it's okay not to happen, but without rake, many people will not agree, because for many players, rake is the basis of earnings)

If there are no freerolls, this is not a reason not to play poker). Freerolls are needed in the first place to learn basic rules and strategies. Next, the person decides whether he needs poker or not.
Let's say an example, you go to play bowling, you will pay for the game. So in poker, if you want to play - then you need to pay.

Freerolls don't exist for people to learn the basics... they are there for promoting the site & hopefully enticing players to deposit & start playing there.
Personally I think the site's might attract more depositors by eliminating the regular freerolls & instead just offer 'deposit freerolls' & other promo freerolls that players can gain entry by completing some play requirements (ie. Gladiator promo on partypoker, deposit freerolls on ipoker sites). I don't think a lot of the 'freerollers' (ie. check this thread out) ever have the intention of depositing (although some likely discover that they'll need to if they're hoping to make a withdrawal of $'s from the site).

In other words... No. I won't leave. I think it sucks that rakeback deals & VIP stuff has been cut back so severely. I wish they could discover a way to have another BOOM of sorts in online poker (& live poker as well). Maybe if they cut tournament fees in half... charging just 5% on something like STT SNG's... & bring back how it once was (ie. like back on Fulltilt around 2007, 2008). Unfortunately reality seems to be >>> turn it into more of a luckbox bingo game, hyper KO stuff, 3-man sng's, etc. sigh :(

I will continue to play poker and climb the limits. I have enough bankroll for this. By the way the bankroll was built on freerolls:)

I fully agree, that freerolls are held in order to attract new players to the poker room, with the intention that the player will probably make deposit and become a regular customer of this poker room - It's in terms of making a profit.
But from the point of view of the common man, which only began to study the game of poker, I think, that freerolls are needed in order to learn the basic rules and strategies and if possible, build your own minimum bankroll.

No. I won't leave poker because I don't think I've had the time to really give it my all. However, I am considering different sites a more player friendly rake structure, and playing a game I enjoy a bit more (if I was better at mixed games, I'd like to try my hand at playing HORSE tourneys).
