Why do people let the timer run out instead of folding?

When I first started playing poker online I used to take all the time they have given me before making a decision. It makes me feel more comfortable knowing that I giving it all my thoughts into the hand. Now days If I do run out of time, it's usually due to multitabling since I'm not used to it yet. Some players I've noticed do that often just before the bubble so they can at least cash.

There are many reasons for that but the most frequent that I not is when we are almost in the prices and we have few chips. They spend the most time they can to doesn't get out of prices.

I usually let the time out when I am on a hand that i cannot fold, but know i should so i just take my time thinking it over and eventually i have no choice to fold. SOmetimes it doesnt work and i still call before time runs out and i lose.
