In my family its just me in poker, my dad played when he was still around, but no one else in the family.
I don't really mind, they have their own interests and its all good.
Well I started playing poker a good 20 years ago my dad played poker and still does my grandparents played poker when they were alive my mom plays poker my older brothers play poker my younger brother plays poker and that's pretty much all of my family good luck on the table everybody and always have fun
unfortunately no one in my family plays poker, because here in brazil it is not a traditional game, now with online poker, poker is very popular with the younger generation
4brothers in my family and we all play have been at final table, 2 times with one of them and yes we play to win. we want to beat each other every time we play' at acr and poker stars
my kid is 12 and he watches me play online sometimes. he told his mom and she didnt like it. i told ger it helps him to learn how to socialise and teaches math. she said no it doesnt it teaches him gambling. i said he already knows about gambling cause he makes little bets on football games n he plays pokemon with cards he can win or lose. she said that was differnt. i told that it wasnt that if you win or lose anything in a game it still gambling
In my family nobody plays poker except me. Generally in my country poker is still considered by many to be pure gambling and it takes time, efforts and most importantly - personal example and explanations to convince people that not everything depends on pure luck. Good thing is that as my parents see that i have strict bankroll management, play as hobby and balance with my other hobbies and job and even win some $ here and there they are completely ok despite the fact that they do not understand the game.
no one in my family plays poker, but I constantly want to add them to this business) unfortunately my parents consider this game to be gambling and not a mind game....
Me, sometimes my wife and my daughter. I taught my 11-year-old daughter poker at the time and I don't know how she does it, but she has already won many online tournaments (as an adult meanwhile). More than me. I think I am a better teacher than a poker player.
My Family had a good amount of card players but none of them were poker players
Like the poster above me, it makes for family home games to be not much in terms of a competition, and so we generally stick to games like euchre, hearts and gin
