Personally, I do not have enough time to improve my game! I study different aspects of the game, but I can’t put them into practice due to the fact that there is simply no time to play poker! You need to know where you are and what you should be looking for in good players. The old saying "If you can't spot the fish then you are the fish" tells you that. There are ways to play these games properly, traits of successful players and folks need to learn them or go out of your way to develop a successful system that you can win with on a consistent basis but you need to know where you are first.

It's difficult for me to not have it as a hobby. The periods (4x few weeks - 10 hours/day) I tried to play as a semi pro, although I was winning I just got bored and didn't enjoy the game.

Focusing on ways to improve my game is one of the ways that keeps poker interesting for me, especially during those boring, dry spells. I've come back after being away for quite a while and last time CardsChat was an amazing resource at helping me improve with technical aspects such as position, bet size, playable range, etc -and whilst, I can still improve and brush up in those areas, this time around I am paying much more attention to studying the patterns and play-styles of the other players which is fascinating!

It certainly helps with keeping focus and distracts from the fact that you haven't had a decent hand to play in hours, lol!
