I stop playing once I start getting distracted or when I start losing more money than I would expect to, because playing after both of these is how you stop having fun.
i have a limit of tourneys a day. i played so much recently that i was overloading. so i play 2 to 3 tourneys a day. choose them carefully and focus on them. after that i turn off. but even like that if i for example get into the money on one of the first tourneys, when i play the last one im not as focus. so that mens i played too much already.
When I finish the tournaments in which I signed up, if I do not charge anything I go to bed tilt and we will try the next day, sometimes I distilled by playing spin and go
I'll quit when it gets too late. Or, if I've lost every game I try..it's best to try again when you're fresh. Sometimes I'll quit when I get a big win, it's best to go out on a high and quit while you're ahead.
Usually I will end a session if I am getting tired or if my luck is bad. Sometimes walking away and fighting another day is a good idea. Always go with your instincts!!
