I love music....any kind of music! So when imma playing, I find something to fit my mood. It could be some good old boy country rock, ass kickin' hard rock, blues, rap or sometimes some classical music. But one thing is a certainty...I'm always playing with the tunes crankin'! (Usually with the headphones on, so as not to disturb the whole household.)
i listen to punk rock while playing poker ..it keeps me really into the game... i listen to " protest the hero", " silverstein", "the red jumpsuit apparatus" and " goodnight nurse"
I listen to my wife, which tell me that I sit over three hours on the PC and now I have stop to play. That is that what I listen when I play poker. I think to hear music is better then a crying wife. Or not?
Cal me a dork, but I usually listen to sports or news radio online. You've got to catch up sometime, especially when you are playing poker so much..
But, like others, I also listen to Rounders radio. Basically anything that gets me through the first third of the tournament, when it can be a bit slow.
Once i'm really in the thick of it, I need pure silence, which is its own sweet music.,,
lol I joined cardschat today and to get to the 50 post mark i started up the first thread that came to mind. i scrolled down afterwords and about 6 inches down the screen was this thread. couldn't help but laugh because the question you ask was the same as mine. To answer the question i range from classic rock to hip-hop and underground stuff.
Metal is usually what I listen too, if you name it I got it, it keeps me energized when im grinding, cuz otherwise its pretty boring and not really requiring a massive amount of skill. I find I actually play better with tunes going.
1. Rage Against the Machine - Bulls On Parade.
2. The White Stripes - One Man Army.
3. Tool - Aneima
4. The Rolling Stones - Sympathy for the Devil
5. Jack Johnson - Rodeo Clowns
6. The Nightwatchman - Whatever it Takes
7. Jay-Z Hustlin Remix with Rick Ross.
8. Rick Ross - Push it to the Limit
9. Motorhead - Ace of Spades.
10. Mudvayne - Wait and Bleed
When I play during the day, I usually have the TV on, so that's what I hear then. But later at night, I usually just plug in the iPod and put it on shuffle.
