What is the best time to get online and play

I am most profitable from around 2am to 6am...eastern. The drunks. as well as less donks. Seems to be better for freerolls also

Glad I live on the west coast. I'm gonna try playing after 10 PM to catch the east coasters sleepy/drunk on the weekends. I'll see how I do tonight.

I live in the UK and it seems the later it is the better i play like from midnight onwards is my time. Cant say i have enuff exp to say which days or times are actually best in terms of the action on the site mine being FT but doesnt matter stick me up against anybody after midnnight lol i turn into a chip sucking vampire!! :evil:

Friday / Saturday / Sunday night US time. Games are softer then than any other time of the week, lots of tired / drunk / whatever recreational players on.

Online Playing

I have found that there are are fewer ppl on sites fisrt thing in the morning, round 8-9am b/c most ppl are either just getting to work or others are not even up yet. However, playing after midnight isnt bad either but I think during the morning and early afternoon is the best time for me

The best time to get online and play
is after the dinner. Because I am at home, the more desire, more peaceful and without so many concerns with this work during the week.
On Saturdays and Sundays prefer playing in the afternoon and beginning of the night.

I personally had most success playing around 2 am EST.

I noticed that I always lose mostly on weekend days (10 am - 6 am EST). I wonder if it could be explained that there are more stupid people are playing for fun.

It also depends on what site you play on... but if we are talking Stars and Tilt, which have the largest playing population and of course have US players.... then best times I suggest are 9pm - 2am EST.

Sorry my american friends... but I am usually happy to find a table full of you guys.

these times cover most of the window for people getting home from work on either coast and of course weekends are much better than mid week.

I think you will find people who play regularly during the day are not recreational because recreational players have regular jobs.

because many people came drunken from a disco and want to play a match and really donky, others are tired and want to go to sleep its the best time to cash up! play 5 sng at the same time you will see

why is it that when you're drunk u want to play poker? Its happened to me twice, where I was drinking all day with friends and then remebering the sunday night tournament at the casino... headed down there with a totally invincible attitude... of course... i made no money what-so-ever... lol!!!

I am from the east coast and have always seemed to do better in the morning. 1 am-10 am. I have noticed this especially on the weekends probably because that is when the partiers come home to play.

I would play late at night,except I would be a fishy past my bedtime. I do like early mornings and that lull in the afternoons, 1-3.

Is there a best time? I have heard so. I have read many professional opinions that claim that you should play in the wee hours of the morn. However it has been my experience that the donk brigade sleeps not and rests not. So therefore play pretty much evens out round the clock 24/7. What does change however is your own gameplay depending on many factors.

I dont know if its because I am a night owl from working night shift for 6 years but I have best luck 12am est on.

Strangely, I have noticed the best time to play (at least for me) is between 4pm-7pm US Central Time. Three things could be the reason for this...

A) People getting off work, and want to donk off some money before dinner.
or
B) It is past midnight across the pond and some of our Euro friends had one to many at the pub and can't see straight.
or
C) Both A&B

I am leaning towards C.

I think it is a bad idea to play in the "wee hours" because everyone thinks this is the weakest time. When you think you are playing against fish, you end up playing against other sharks. This is all theory, of course. I could be wrong. I am often.

i like to play late at night and i live on the east coast so i was wondering does anyone else have a time that they believe is most useful to winning money

I live on the east coast to and i find that i love it late night early morning.
usually between 3:00 and 6:00 is when i do best.
Not the greatest time for tourneys,but I wreck the sngs then.

in my experience 1am-4am est is best for cash tables. i like to play durin evening hours in sngs and freerolls though

i would say probably 2am when all the drunk players are on... but be prepared to lose to some really bad suck outs but same token be ready to win ALOT more!

Recreational players are a big problem for me so i try to avoid times when they are in abundance.

I find weekends to be the worst time to play. I find more recreational players are playing. I find the play of a much lower quality...especially on cash tables.

Depends on the day.

If its during the week (M-F) then I like to play in the evening. Weekend, all day is fine. More action and bigger MTTs.

I don't argue that playing late evenings or on weekends are the best times, but how are you sure all these people are drunk? I think most of them are are just bad players trying to re-coup their loses from earlier. So they are playing alot looser and losing even more.
