I often see a lot of the same faces every time I visit the casino and the same names day after day at multiple tables online. What makes someone a pro as opposed to a reg as opposed to a recreational player?

Good day! I believe that a professional is the one who makes poker consistently and this is his main source of income! The professional is very smart and makes very, very few mistakes, but there are very few such mistakes! A professional is a person who knows his job by heart! But this is just my opinion and maybe I'm wrong, I'm still a beginner myself who just plays poker for fun!

hi, in the first place, what differentiates a recreational from a regular, is that the regular spends time studying. you can be a regular player and not "pro". the "pro" players are those of the elite, those who are dedicated to poker professionally but also stand out as the top in the world. cheers:icon_sant

In my beleive a pro is someone that makes a living out of poker and plays more than 8 hours a day. They know probabilities and have a better analysis of the game .It has nothing to do with us who play once in a while
