I have always preferred tournaments. I don't know why, but in cash it always goes bad for me, it will be because I predispose myself to believe that I am going to lose and play badly, while in tournaments I am not with those kinds of thoughts. Maybe one day I will have the necessary maturity to play cash in the same way as tournaments. Regards.

Each to his/her style of play and of course the amount of time you have to invest

I play both online but live I prefer tournaments. If you have the time available and the patience the possibility of taking home a very large payout makes it hard to beat tournaments. If you are pressed for time but enjoy playing than cash is the way to go. It seems like more of a grind but you have the option of leaving whenever you want. Like I said it just depends on your personal preference and the amount of time you have available.

GL AND STAY SAFE:cool:

For me I like both but prefer live play over online. However a huge difference is that in an online cash game you can walk away whenever you want or whenever something comes up. You are in control of how long you want to or can play. In tournament play, your time should be committed to the length of time it takes to get to the final table and to hopefully an even sweeter tasting end play. If it's a hyper tourney free roll, time is not so much an issue. If it is a regular timed tourney for blinds, depending on how many entries, you are looking probably at a minimum of 3 hours and more likely 5+ hours to reach final table stage.

I like tournament poker much more than cash game.
It’s a good thing to get from start to finish in a tournament. :)

I prefer cash games, as you can come and go anytime you would like. However, tournaments you can make substantially more money if you finish in a top 3. Goal right now is learn a solid cash game and go on to tournament games, as they both play very differently from one another.

In my particular case, I prefer tournaments to cash tables, it is simply the temptation to multiply my entry by large numbers and the desire to beat many opponents, although you are tied to time and you cannot withdraw at any time, yes I have the required time I always opt for a tournament.

I love tournaments, I don't usually play cash, I focus on winning tournament tickets and making money that way, I'm adapted to that way and I love it:jd4::jd4::jd4::jd4:

I prefer tournaments, for cash I quickly lose my game due to a cooler or a coin not in my favor, in a tournament I won't be able to get as much as I want.

Cash seems to be a better and faster way to build your roll.

I find tournaments much more interesting. There are additional skills to learn that may not be so important in a cash game (e.g., short stack play, play as ITM approaches, etc.). Winning a MTT tournament is also pretty satisfying, a feeling that I don't think exists in cash games.

I prefer tournaments, tournaments have more attractive prizes and also the reputation of having won an important one.

For me Cash games are risky whenever you lost, you lost your buy in money but in case of tournament if you lost in 2nd,3rd , 4,...etc or even if itm you will received your buyin amount+ some profit.. though it's taking longer time then cash game but remember nothing can be earned in free of cost or shortcut.

I love both cash and tournaments. I play tournaments when I have a lot of time, for example, when I have a day off. And I can play cash any day after work. In cash, I like the fact that I can get up from the table at any time and do something else, and I can also start playing at any time, because there are almost always free tables. Well, if you take a good place in a tournament, you can earn more money than in cash.

I prefer cash games over tournaments. I play micro stakes, and I find it easier to profit in cash games. I do like playing tournaments every now and then, though.

As a recreational player I prefer to play tournaments. Cash game is not as exciting as tournaments. I played cash game for a while, it was good because I could improve, develop, but honestly, I think it's boring.

Im not a cash game player, I don't have any success in them. I feel like I have a lot to lose when I play cash games, with tournaments I don't feel that way, you just buyin in and lose what you bought in for....I'm no poker pro but tournaments is for me

Tournament poker

As for me, for beginner players it is better to play freeroll tournaments and get experience of playing poker:eek:

Tournaments , after this the sngs . Cash games I wouldn't choose them nowadays , only ZOOM rarely .
But I intend to learn more in the future and try them again , the normal 6max or 9max NLH tables , see if I can have a better gaming experience , better results , than the ones I had when I first started playing poker . The constant new deposits , daily and weekly , because of the losses on the cash games then with my reckless styles and decisions, are a bad memory , even now ...
