My cash game friends seem to have less variance (given they play within their rolls). As a former tourney grinder, I can tell you it really sucks to go on a 300 buyin downswing and feel like you've forgotten how to play. Personally I like tournies for the gold ring, though, the big prizes up top. If I sit in a cash game with $100 (or $109), I seriously doubt I can walk away with 5 figures at the end of the session. In a tourney, I might ;)

I play both of them, but I play more tournaments, because they allow easier control of the bankroll, and they are psycologically easier.

I like to play both but i play more Tournaments than Cash the thrill is greater in a Tourney since in most cases you can´t just reload if you go bust. If you mainly play because you enjoy the Game i think Tournaments will give you more bang for your buck

I prefer tournaments! The idea of having eliminations and one champion is very enthusiastic.

Cash games are better for immediate cashout, tournaments for the more pasive player that enjoys delayed gratification.
None is better than the other, is just for different kind of players according to his play/time preference at the moment. I like both of them.

Cash is good because you can leave the game at any time, but tournaments bring more pleasure, they have some special excitement when you win a tournament, but a lot of time is spent on the tournament

Tournament

I definitely choose the tournament. Such feelings will not be when playing in cash, in cash players leave / come. There is only a certain number of players in the tournament. You fight, everything in cash is not how it works. Yes, plus the cache that you can go in and out right away. The disadvantage of the tournament is that you have to sit for a long time if you want to win. Try, have patience, etc.:icon_thum

I like Tournaments but do feel they suck you in with the big pots you can win, they take hours to complete, least with cash game you can up and leave whenever

hi..when I first started playing poker...she played tournaments with unusual passion.Winning it was a huge event. At the time, I said that the dollar I won in poker was the most valuable to me.Years later, I changed my mind.I learned to play and tournaments with luck and necessity began to bring money. But cards have always been just entertainment for me.I earn money at work.

Cash by far, cash games the players are more serious and you can make a living in cash games. Tournaments you may go broke before you ever hit the money. So cash games can support my tournament games.

I like tournaments better than cash games. I've tried cash games a few times but I prefer tournaments because everyone is starting off on the same level so no one has an advantage over anyone.

I love to play tournaments, I feel like my current skill set is better matched for tournament play as compared to cash games. Having said that, I hope in the near future I can improve upon my cash game skill in order to make the move over so I can provide myself a more stable source of income and cash for my bankroll. The variance in tournaments can take it out of you sometimes, so having that more secure stream of money would be a huge benefit.

I think the best as I said before is the adrenaline tournament when you get close to the bubble and you don't know whether to hold on and get there or play a strong hand haha
