I like both. there was a point in time where I could say I was definetly a cash game player but I have improved my tournament game so I play a lot of them now.

I like both but I think I am better at tournaments since its one buy in and if I lose I am out so I play with more power but cash games are funner since there is money all the itme

i think traditionally everyone i knew started off as a tournament player that transitioned into a cash game player. to be a cash player you need even stricter bankroll management than tournaments as downswings would be more swingy compared to tournaments in the short term.

I prefer the tournament, it's indescribable the feeling of getting on the ITM and then FT.

I prefer tournaments because you can easily manage your bankroll.. You willnt lose more then you put in tournament. In fact also you have high hope and enthusiastically going to 1st place;)

Cash game is like art subject in school, and tournament like math class.

Never heard it put that way -- interesting.

I prefer tournaments, but would like to be an aptitude for cash. Tournaments feel more slow going, and evolving. Cash feels more blunt. If I do bad in a tournament, I'm out. If I do bad in cash, I can always add more.

I like the battles I have with players in cash games, the psychology battle. Tournaments force you to go all-in alot pre flop, as well as switching tables

I do not like cash tables and therefore do not play at these tables. I like it and I sometimes get good results in tournaments.

I play cash games most of the time, but tournaments are also fun to play sometimes. The advantages of playing cas games are that ou can always rebuy if you lose your stack and you can get up whenever you do not feel like playing anymore. You can win big if you win a tournament, but the variance can be huge and the risk of ruin is a lot higher. Tournaments are played for hours and you can play for a very long time without even getting your buy-in back. A lot more patience is needed if you want to make it by playing tournaments only.

I think that at the beginning of your journey, you need to start with sit-n-go turikov! For there you can lay in yourself the fundamental knowledge of the game, strategy and psychology! If it turns out in the 9th local sitngo, then, I think, in other types of games it will be easier, because I think that BASE is laid in sit and go!

well, I play tournaments, and I've played cash games a few times and I can say that math is important to both of them. None of them will be an "arts class" if you do not have enough skill in either mode. a good player, it will not be anything "beautiful" to play cash games, in fact the possibility of potentializing your injury and "painting like this" a horrible scenario is very great.

I prefer tournaments over cash games because I like the competition and I think my game is suited to tournaments as opposed to cash games so I like them better although I do play in cash games because thats where a lot of the traffic is at the times that I play which is usually in the late hours of the night and early morning.

Tournament

I prefer tournaments because in cash games I find myself bleeding chips, AKA Cash. In tournaments you are more inclined only to play hands that you are able to shove with because people will shove behind you. This is why I like playing tournaments better.
