donks will never go away, we hope.
I have noticed that I take bad beats a lot easier live then online. Anyone else have that experience?
It's probably because when you're live you can ask a person what they were thinking, why they played the hand the way they did...a lot more chatter and openness. Online, nobody talks. And when you finally type something into the chatbox you might sound pissed and that usually gets everybody else going. It's like the silent treatment, you wanna know, but your opponents won't give you anything. Almost torturous. And you can only assume.
I read an article comparing Hold Em players to Stud players (casino live play). The writer made an observation that, the Hold Em players were all silent, grumpy-like compared to the Stud players who were always talking and laughing. I guess there's too much thinking involved in HoldEm (more silent, lass talk, alot of thinking) to bother being friendly. Whereas in Stud you see your opponents cards and thinking isn't as imperative, time for more chatter, and friendliness
I love playing Stud.
