Oh, that totally sucks. :( It's so frustrating to lose and feel like there isn't a win in sight. All you need is one good MTT showing, though, to get back on your feet. Keep at it, girl! I know you can do it!!

Post some hand histories, Aloe. Or send a bunch to people around here who like to look at them. Or swap them with someone and compare and contrast.

Y'kin send some my way, if you like, though I dunno if I have anything to swap as mostly I'm playing oddball stuff right now.

downswings happen but like NL said, give us some HH and we can help

Thanks lady and gents, but obv I'm in the wrong thread, it feels like walking into a HA situation with all the pros of CC. Will send you some HH Nine via pm, thx for any feedback you can give me.

umm yeah, for today:

positives: got in a lot of hands
negatives: Ran like shit and lost a ton of money.

Basically villain always seemed to have the top of their range, and I always seemed to have the bottom of my range. And then stupid things like I flop trips, get C/Red on the flop, he has a pocket pair, and of course turns one of his 2 outs. I flop a set, he backdoors a flush. I flop a flush, the board will pair and villain will have had a set. I flop a straight, villain flops a higher straight. A 54/23 with >50% att. to steal stacks against me. I have AK, he has AA. I hit a set over set, villain started the hand with $20. I'd start to get on track and then just get completely ****ed. Maybe I'll post some hands later, but for now I'm too deppressed. Somehow I'm still up on the month, but here's the graph for today.

Thats a horror graph for sure Zach. This is the problem with 6max I suppose. When it's going well, the constant aggression we show to win moniez comes back to haunt us when we run like shit. So basically we just burn up the $$$.

I've been reading about some sick d/swongs on 2+2 over the last few weeks, and I think the variance of 6max is kinda worrying :(.

Played a bit last night, only a few hundred hands whilst trying to get the HUD working on HEM. I failed miserably. Gonna give it another go later on, dying to give my new 24" screen a good go.

So after playing 4 tournaments yesterday I at least cashed in the CC Ultimatebet tournament, so only ended up about $9 or $10 down for the day. What is more important is discovering what I can and can not handle.

I played in a tournament with DJ on Sunday that was a .10 buy-in with .50 rebuys. I only spent $1.10 and cashed almost $5 - but it wasn't worth my time. I don't care to play for 3 hours to win a few dollars.

On the other end of the spectrum a few weeks ago I won a ticket to a $100k guaranteed on bodog worth $109. I decided to play it only to discover that particular week it was a $200k guaranteed with at $225m buy-in. So I added the money and played anyway. I did not cash and did not like putting that much money into a tournament. Luckily I won another ticket and enough to replace my loss. I used $30+3 of that yesterday in a 4K guaranteed. I lasted a while but again did not cash and just wasn't happy with that at all.

The tournament that was my best shot yesterday was the $2 re-buy at Ultimatebet. I was doing great in it when I lost half of my chips getting my KK beat by 77. (Money in pre-flop), Had I won that hand I would have been in first place and certainly guaranteed to get to final table at that point. It is the first time I ever felt it in my gut when I lost a poker hand. Physically felt it lol. I finished that tournament just out of the money. I had 10 times the BB and pushed with A7 in early position and lost. My husband said it was a bad play and that hurt my feelings lol. I then decided I am too dumb for poker and was depressed all night. He spent the rest of the night trying to convince me how great I am. He was just being nice.

So today I might try the cash tables. I need to decide whether to play $10NL or $25NL. My bankroll is somewhere around $1400. And where to play. I have money at pokerstars, Fulltilt, UB, Bodog and PDC. I am thinking about playing 2 tables at 2 different sites today and then the other 2 sites tomorrow.

One of the best feelings in the world. Graph from yesterday still up this morning. I hit the refresh button, and since it was still on "today" and I hadn't played any hands today, the graph cleared. I'm even today, it is a new day :) (queue downswing when I start playing today, gonna try to play good amount of hands today again because I'm not tilting and would like to have that money back lol)

Daks, seems standard play to me hun, but then again I'm crap at mtt's :p.

BTW, you are a great player. You definately kick my ass in the CC tournies whenever I play in them... saying that, that's not much to brag about!

I'm sure there is a compliment in there somewhere :D.

i'm assuming there were antes at this point, right? just depends how many players were at the table. if it was a full table, i'm pretty sure it's an unprofitable push most of the time. but if there were like 7 players and you pushed in 2nd or 3rd position it's usually fine

There were antes and I was in 2nd position. The table was full I think.

i probably wouldn't push that, but i don't think it's a really bad play. there are a lot of factors like how tight or loose the table is. also, if blinds are going up again in a really short time i'd be more likely to push light

Played for 6 hours at 1/2 live today for +$280

weeeeeee ill take it.

Never got AA, KK, or QQ whole time lol, was sort of depressing I had to make do with stealing from the guys that were nitty or weak post and try to just play the few slightly more premium hands strongly. Overall worst. cards. ever. but still a few lucky small pots equal victory over time.

umm where the hell do you have a live game full of nitty players? That's like a foreign concept to me, nitty live players? Isn't that an oxymoron?

When you show up at 11am, from then to about 3pm or so they are hella nitty. I couldnt move to any better tables (12 ppl on waiting) as it looks like I was unfortunate to get stuck at one of the worse ones.

Chopping blinds? yeah.... it happened. I dont know it was alot of older women, uhh a few sunglasses "pros" haha, and a few fishy types but honestly the fish did noottt show up till 3pm -and I had to go at 5pm- then it got a bit better better but I was so, so, card dead.

So they're nitty during the time you should be asleep (unless 11am you're still going from the night before). :p

There was a guy in shades 2 seats to my left, that played a grand total of maybe 4-5 hands over the course of 6 hours.

Nit!! Its the sunglasses I swear its like the biggest "im a nit" tell in the world.

I mean like, raises, not blinds or w/e he did limp a bit and play his blinds (but often not his small blind, oh f*** no)

Initial when I sat down my table was so nitty that... I saw a guy check his AA to SD against 1 tagish female player on a 436r flop because of how scary it was(he said this). He won $12 pot as his raise was $7 or smth.

She had 22.

Hmm.. I might have to become a ring game player instead of a tournament player. So far $25 NL has been a good game for me. Can't wait to get my book - it should be here any day.

Played for a while again today and left almost $20 up. That is not a load of money but I only played one table for about an hour so it was okay.

Played a bit in Leo's casino in L'pool city centre and some games in Southport. The games mainly consist of £10 and £20 rebuys, but it's a lottery as the starting stacks and blinds are stupid.

There are some more casino's which I haven't tried yet and one due open in Southport soon.

Apparently the best games are at the Grosvenor casino in Bolton, but I haven't tried it tbh.

Tyvm for info.

I withdrew all but 50 dollars so just trying to grind that up the next few weeks. Might take a punt at the 2.75 tourney at stars.

Trying to get a freeroll started BR going on full tilt but its not going higher than 25$ right now, just keep grinding there aswell I suppose. Finding it a little hard getting used to blind levels, how fast they move and the increments the move in.

Do it Dax, join the cash game club it's goot imo. We could do with more members in the HA section.

I was going to post some hands but having trouble with some sites. Pokerstars is easy cause you can just copy and paste from the HH of your table. You can't do that at FT. I have "save my hands" for 30 days checked but the only hands I can find in the file on my computer are from a CC tournie early in August. Bodog - where I played today - is a nightmare - I got a headache trying to read it and could only find the last hand played.

Grrr... and I need to get pokertracker and hud working again. Somebody needs to come visit me and get me all set back up lol.
