"Those that can Do, Those that can't Teach." Does this truism hold for poker? Or can the folks that can analyze hands and figure pot odds in a very advantageous position. I have a fairly high IQ but i don't always apply it to poker. I am more of a seat of the pants type. Not good i know. but i would like to hear your thoughts on this.:):):)

People just say that to insult public school teachers. Someone who knows what they're talking about (and not just repeating something) should be able to do it...but someone who knows alot about odds and poker theory could struggle with the nerve to bluff or tilt control.

I know a ton about poker theory, some read, some figured out by myself. I just haven't developed my reading ability to where I'd like it to be. I hope that will come with more experience. I also tilt too much, especially in ring games. So for me, that's true to some degree. I can usually help with HH, etc. but have trouble making money, at least online.
