While browsing streams on Twitch, I noticed that there are a lot of poker streamers out there.
There are even some authors of books that recommend beginners to start broadcasting their game, so I wonder what anyone thinks about it and if streaming is a profitable business...

I follow some 888 poker games, mainly because they give freerrolls but sometimes you get hooked and end up learning a lot with them

I only follow a few streamers. My favourite is Ian Simpson, who is a UK 888 ambassador. He's entertaining and talks through the trickier spots.

In terms of streaming yourself, I think it's a great way of holding yourself to account and talking through your decision process. This will naturally help with your decision making and you can re-watch it to see spots where you didn't know what to do so you can review them. With regards to earning a living streaming, it's very difficult to earn any meaningful unless you become massively popular and have 1,000's watching every stream.
