I'm not a professional player, so I can't count on the fact that I will make money playing poker. So I am a player who currently plays for fun and for the prospect of making money someday in the future.

Poker is a serious money game where you need to know how to play, there are often bad luck, but 1 moment can turn your life around

Let's not kid ourselves, we only have fun when we win. When we lose, we don't get paid and almost always get negative;)

For me, it's like a small source of income. If I think I don't need this income anymore, I'm not going to play poker.

When I was a little younger (I was learning the cards values, the rules, etc.), I was playing poker only for entertainment. But now I'm learning the basics of the poker tatics to play an online freeroll tournament as an amateur. And this fact in my life made me ask a question to myself: "Does the people study poker? Or they actually play only just for fun?".

So... what do you say for me? Are you a casual poker player? Or you have an objective/goal playing poker?
I haven't played poker for fun in a long time. It is, in fact, my additional form of income (and in the current conditions of unemployment in Ukraine due to the war, poker has become my main source of income). At the same time I can't afford to spend real money (for example, on rebuys and addons), because now every dollar is of serious importance in my difficult financial situation. :(

At present, poker serves as a form of entertainment, disrupting the monotony of daily life. However, ever since I became a member of CardsChat, it has transformed into a source of not only recreation and amusement but something more profound. The community members here inspire a commitment to approaching the game with a heightened sense of seriousness about learning. Perhaps, when my bankroll (accumulated from freerolls) permits, I might even consider pursuing this as a genuine endeavor.

Poker can be very addictive, especially when you win, you get a natural buzz, from winning at any form of gambling, the body produces Dopamine when you get excited, and it is very easy to get addicted to it, that's why some people get high from fairground rides at amusement parks.
The poker sites on-line are like the Drug pushers, because they know the higher you are, the more you will gamble, even the casinos make you walk past all the slot machines to get to the Poker room simply because of all the bells and whistles, and all the flashing lights become an attraction to play the slots! Especially if you see someone win, because you think "hey! I could be doing that!"
I consider myself to be lucky in the fact that I can control my addictions whether it comes to Drinking, Smoking, or Gambling. I have never Drank to excess because I know my limits, Smoking I quit 10 Years ago, and as for Gambling, I never bet more than I am willing to lose.
Many people suffer from headaches when they leave an Amusement Park or Casino, and it has nothing to do with all the noise and flashing lights, it's your body coming down from the Dopamine rush, learn to control it and you can make better decisions.

anything that can cost us money,
we should take it seriously,
of course it's good to play stakes according to our pocket in order to have fun

For now it's entertainment, but in the future I'm thinking of getting serious!

Do people study poker? Or do you actually play just for fun? the answer is both, there are players who study and others don't, it will depend on what you want with poker for your life, is it a hobby or a profession? then you will know if you are going to study the game or not

For me, it's serious because I'm always looking for the prize, but it's just a joke.
