I think there's a bit of luck and a bit of bad luck, we have moments of both.

I personally don't believe that it is, yes, money is involved in this game, but there are other games and tournaments that also involves money. Also unlike typical casino games like Blackjack, more skill than luck is involved to do well in this game.

I'm curious to hear what you guys think.
I also believe that the skills and experience of the player are more important in poker, however, we all understand that without luck we cannot achieve good results. And we have to do everything that depends on us to become better, i.e. improve our skills, accumulate experience and of course hope for luck :)

I wouldn't say so. There is luck involved, but it's not gambling.

I really think poker is partially gambling, depending on your type of play but I disagree with your comparison to blackjack, I have found over the years there is a large amount of skill in BJ and I regularly do well at those tables....Players at BJ that routinely bet the same amount every time are only going to win in the long run if they beat the dealer more times than they lose, however by varying your bets and having your losses at small bets and your winnings at large bets you usually come out ahead,,,knowing when and how to vary bet size is the skill in BJ.

For whom, as for me personally, no, I play poker rationally on my bankroll. For someone it can be gambling because he can lose a lot of money and cannot stop

It is gambling but because you are playing vs other players rather than the house, you can sometime have an edge.

I think that if it's gambling, many people say that you have to study every day blah blah.

For me poker is a mental sport like chess. It has an aspect of luck, but it also depends on strategies.

there's definitely a gambling part of poker because no matter how good or bad you play, the luck factor is always involved

If you play big money (be rich og bankrupt), you can say poker is gambling.
Otherhands if you play small money you can afford to lose, poker is more like a hobby.

Based on a professional player here in brazil, who said if you play well against certain players, each one has a different plan for you to try to defeat, the chance of you being unlucky is only 15%! I don't consider gambling!☘️🍀

I think poker is gambling (of course, if you play with this idea) and so it can be considered as a sport

Yes, poker is gambling. If you are committed to playing tournament poker only and you are a good player like a real competitor, then you are much less of a GAMBLER than a player who loves to put it on the table at a cash game.

For me I think the answer is no. Although I consider that it has a part that depends on luck. Today I think it is mostly a game of skill. That is why we almost always see the same players reach the final stages of the tournaments.
