I also believe that the skills and experience of the player are more important in poker, however, we all understand that without luck we cannot achieve good results. And we have to do everything that depends on us to become better, i.e. improve our skills, accumulate experience and of course hope for luckI personally don't believe that it is, yes, money is involved in this game, but there are other games and tournaments that also involves money. Also unlike typical casino games like Blackjack, more skill than luck is involved to do well in this game.
I'm curious to hear what you guys think.
I really think poker is partially gambling, depending on your type of play but I disagree with your comparison to blackjack, I have found over the years there is a large amount of skill in BJ and I regularly do well at those tables....Players at BJ that routinely bet the same amount every time are only going to win in the long run if they beat the dealer more times than they lose, however by varying your bets and having your losses at small bets and your winnings at large bets you usually come out ahead,,,knowing when and how to vary bet size is the skill in BJ.I personally don't believe that it is, yes, money is involved in this game, but there are other games and tournaments that also involves money. Also unlike typical casino games like Blackjack, more skill than luck is involved to do well in this game.

I strongly agree with you!Its a skill based game, but its still gambling.
