It is for me an escape from everyday life, a kind of relaxation (when it goes well 😉), a beautiful dream in which I try to take steps.

Freedom is the ability to play poker as much or as little as you want without your state becoming involved in any way. Some of the so called most democratic countries in the world keep it's "free" citizens from participating. Some nanny states have decided just how much and how often is OK.

Its different if you love playing it for the game. If you are not sitting every day not wanting to, but doing it still because of money. With that attitude poker can never be too heavy on you both mentally and physically.

I don't play poker every day. At least 1-2 days a week I take a break. I have been playing poker for over 5 years now, and my weekly routine has always included at least 1-2 days of rest.

I don't play every day. I think even pros or regs take a break at least once a a week. I don't believe there is one per player who plays 365/24/7 ...

I play poker when I feel I want to play. For me there no need to take a special break in play.

I just burned out playing over 12 hours a day, every day and lost interest in the game, Still on the same break for over 2 years now. I thought it would help my gameplay while we were all suffering from the Covid Lockdowns and it gave me something to do, But alas too much of a good thing certainly is bad for you.

took breaks from the game for a couple of weeks at most. the reasons are different. I remember there was a promotion at poker stars that you had to play every day and they made a meme - an igloo with a poker stars shape

I believe that you will always have freedom, you decide how to spend your time. The only restrictions are imposed by each country unfairly.

The fact that poker gives freedom is debatable. Poker gives material freedom. How much effort people have spent on achieving heights, months of daily work for 12-14 hours, poker does not give freedom to its full extent, it only gives prospects for the future, although perhaps this is good, because a person who does nothing all day long does not develop, stands still or goes backwards, and poker helps a person develop, discover new qualities in himself.
