probably because it takes up a lot of time that could be spent on something else and of course sometimes you need money too and sometimes you need to ask other people for money

I think we somewhat distanced ourselves from friendships because of our commitment to poker.

My poker game does not affect relationships with people in any way, I have never borrowed money for poker, because I don’t play for big money, I play more for fun.

About the time it takes to play, I always plan my sessions in days that I have nothing to do. Even family silly plans should be more important than play.
Don't go crazy thinking that poker has to be your main income.
And I DON'T recommend asking for money.

I'm playing for fun. I don't want a lot of money. So I don't have a problem with my friends and acquaintances.

When I started to play poker, I used to spend much more time playing and sometimes I had missed some family meetings because I was playing poker. Nowadays, my family/friends time always come first and I only play poker when I have nothing else better to do.

Hello everyone. Yes, perhaps my hobby has influenced my relationships with some people. I have also made new acquaintances, and there are even more of them now. It even seems to me that old acquaintances look at me with some envy when I discuss poker news, game strategies, recall my gaming moments, and listen to stories from new friends. In a way, it's easier for me: I don't have a family, and only a few old comrades see that I watch and read more about poker than other worldly news.

I'd rather waste time on poker.
Maybe one day luck will be on my side and I'll win the big prize
