Good question, is it a money game I think, is it what motivates, or does everyone play with fictional tokens? no, playing with dummy chips is boring.

Hi there pal, that is a pretty good description of the game, it's like the cards are just an excuse for gain money, 'cause there are ways to win money without even have to show your cards

Hi the ALL! Poker is card game, and how any card game this is game on the money! So will always while there the three objects:
people, cards and money. Simply poker gone forward most far in the compare with another card games. Poker now is business 100%!
Different poker TV broadcasts, many advertisements anywhere, and on the markets have stocks the poker sites, and for us cards now are how stocks by essentially too. Who more rightly manage them, he makes profit, who no... But we will not about sadly! One word,
all how in any another business.
P.S. I wish the All rightly manage the your stocks, that is cards!;):D

Card game with money being the extra reward.

Played a lot of Play Money games before playing real money tables. Both are satisfying/fun but I find that real money tables give a better experience since they are taken more seriously.

The following quote:
It don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning's winning.
Could fit well with:
It don't matter if you win by Play Money or Real Money. Winning's winning.

Poker is a card game that was played in back rooms for money and considered the shady side of the tracks. Now it has gone main stream, with many making a living from playing, endorsements, commentating and teaching with many different business models.

I’ve been teaching my eldest poker (but not for money). To start with -it was to help him add and subtract with his numbers, the game just made it more enjoyable for him. So now I have a poker buddy who can add up his own stack without my help.
It can be about money, but if that’s all the game is your not playing it properly.

Depends on if you’re a rec it’s about entertainment and a love of playing the game. If you’ve never been at a table with a rec who doesn’t care about money you haven’t experienced variance like that

But it is very exciting, thanks to the cards! Cards in General creation, surprising and unique. How many made cards, fortunetelling, puzzles, all sorts of different games. Lots of things. I don't think I'd play Poker without money. I would prefer other interesting games. I like the game Goat.

Poker without money, nope. I'd rather play cribage, whist pinnocle or hearts

poker is perhaps a paid hobby that gives hope for a good life. Someone drinks beer, someone likes fishing, someone is an athlete. One way or another, we spend our time and money. To each his own and everyone plays poker for their own reasons. For some it’s money, for some it’s excitement. In general, I agree with the comment above. Life is too short to spend on poker alone. There are many other wonderful things. But still the game for money does not pass without a trace, even for strong players.
