I love hooks unless someone raises before me. Out of position sucks as you might have fold them depending on the raiser. A re-raise after I raise them that sucks even more. Now ask me if I hate pocket 10s.
Certainly, unless you're near the bubble, or at the end of a tournament, patience is a virtue when holding pocket jacks, depending on your position in the hand.
There are three other pairs that can beat you, and probably will.
I've won and also lost, sometimes I like to take a risk, especially when I have few chips, sometimes it works, but I don't risk it when I'm close to the bubble.
