If you are referring to games that you can play for "play money" then I would agree with you, any game play is good practice even if you are the only player at the table, intent on playing as if you were in a
wsop or WPT, event.
The only way to learn Poker is to play it, You can watch all the videos and read as many books as you want, but to become a solid all round player You have to experience it. Like driving a Car, You can read the "Highway Code" and have a full understanding of the rules of the road, but until you sit in the driving seat you are not going to be a good driver, unless you experience Driving.
Play money chips are just as important as
real money if you learn to play well, When Pokerstars first started their on-line
poker site they gave you 2,000 play money chips to get you started, if you busted out, you just had to ask for a re-buy and they gave you another 2,000, I have lost count of how many times I had to ask for a re-buy when I first started to play, but after a while I treated them as I do with any
bankroll and soon ran that 2,000 up to half a Million.
it was only then that I felt comfortable playing for real money in Micro stake games, and started to use the money I had won from cashing in free-rolls, It has taken a while, but all the time I got better and now I play for real money in Live Tournaments in Pubs and Casino's, and On-line.
