Usually I play in tournaments, and end up making the final table. The top four positions pay and the fifth position ends up getting their buy-in back. Instead of being the 7th player as I was last month now I am finding myself getting even or in the money.

You may or may not like Phil Hellmuth, but I got his "Million Dollar Poker System" and in it he says to play these hands:

Of course the top 10 hands:

1. AA
2. KK
3. QQ
4. AK
5. JJ
6. 10 10
7. 9 9
8. 8 8
9. 7 7
10.A Q

In live games I played these hands along with the next ten hands and ended up winning by being patient.

These are the Majority Play hands:

66
55
44
33
22
K Q
A of any suite matched with another card in suite.

I only played these hands and did pretty good. I won the tournament and then went to a live table. I then stuck to these cards throwing away all other cards. I won 20% and then left. Basically, I was testing his method.

At tournament:

I had 10-10 and I bet $600. (3 X big blind). Big blind went all in. I would have had about $700 after the call. I called the bet he had A A. The table moaned, but then the flop comes up 10-7-4. I get trips. Aces cracked. Somebody else has AA and goes all in. A pair of 8's calls and an 8 comes on the flop...aces cracked again.

My best hand of the night:

I was big blind, $4,000. I had a 5-2 off suite. The flop comes up 2-2-8. The small blind goes all in, and I call. I end up in the money on this hand.

In the live game I played two hands, my table image must have been pretty tight. It seems at $3-6 people would bet on anything and end up losing a lot of chips.

Somebody at the game had the straight flush, by the flop. He bet three and one called. At the turn he bet again ($6) and the caller folded. There was not Ten dollars in the pot so he did not get the bonus for the st. flush $500.

At the table a player said the code was to ask the question to the dealer, "How much does the st. flush pay?" so that the somebody will call and make the bet payable so the person gets the bonus. Then you give the person that called some money.

Is that true?
