I was chatting with a friend and fellow poker-player the other day about how some people will "bet on the bubble" during a live poker tourney. When it gets down to the point where the next person out will be the last to not receieve winnings, everyone that's left will pool their money (usually twenty dollars each) and the next person out revieves the cash.
Example: Tourney pays last five spots and there are six players left. Everyone kicks in twenty dollars (20x6 = 120 dollars) and the next player out gets the cash.
Is this legal?? Can casino's get in trouble if they allow this sort of thing to occur?
