Hello. I like both, no preference. Each one gives me different types of challenges. In person, just keeping up with the pace and the personalities, online - following how each person is playing.

All forms of poker are fun for me - live with friends, live in casinos, online. My game is Low Limit Holdem (Fixed Limit or No Limit).
I am retired and play the game for the fun and challenge, not to make a living, or get rich.
Live games with friends are full of kidding, joking, story-telling, and laughs.
Live casino games are about listening to the people from different places, and the challenge of playing against mostly strangers.
Online is all about the hard numbers of the game and reading opponents styles.

Location, location, location. If I'm on a trip between the US and canada its sometime more profitable to change currency than actually play..depending upon the venue. For regular skill honing and massive prize pools you can't beat online play

playing online has the possibility of being in many places at the same time. The good thing about playing live is seeing the opponent face to face, deciphering their game by their gestures in both directions, it is spectacular

online you can play in any state (even in some panties and in the toilet)
going to a club or casino is a whole event, but the atmosphere and surroundings are different, more thrills! these are just two different worlds

Online is more convenient but live is more fun/intense.

I’ve only played in a casino once and ended up folding when I could of checked because I thought somebody had moved all in but they were just messing on with their chips!

I’ll not make that mistake again.

Also I wasn’t keen on the rebuy element as everybody just kept going all in until the rebuy period was over.

Casino is more fun, exciting, a little more nervous but more expensive. You get to see people, talk, have a good time. But online is cheap and very good practice.
