I have much to learn about ONLINE betting strategies...
Seems 10X blind is the norm, and any suited cards play no matter what the raise.
Well glad I could be :icon_sant and donate my first CC Freeroll.
Good Luck everyone.

Oh, and on another note, I was reading a post about some types of software. I don't feel that these programs give you anymore advantage than you would have at a live event. Live you can process tells and gameplay. Online there are few tells other than game play. Maybe a pause or rush of a mouse click. I feel that if it is legal on these sites to play then it should be considered your responsibility to give yourself at the very least the same advantage that others do. Your starting out at a disadvantage only becuase you choose not to use the software, not because others are choosing to use it. It would be as if the casino blindfolded me only to see hole cards and the community when all I would have to do is ask them to remove the blindfold.
Maybe the poker sites should offer this as a plug-in to their own software. I have never yet used any software of this caliber, but i'm sure if I played as much as most of you do online I would definitely be willing to pay a reasonable fee for it to be added in.

lol thinking that online poker = freeroll play.

freerolls are a joke, 10x bb is not a normal raise.

If you seriously think you cant get reads from betting patterns in online poker..... madness...

also how does one donate to a freeroll where it costs nothing?

Yes ladies and gents. My apologizes. I didnt mean that all online poker is like that, although it may have been construed so. I was only talking about freerolls. I have played in many great online tournaments and cash games. Most of which are higher stakes, of course, and not a "let me try to get all the chips in 30 minutes" turbo match. I thought that it might be different playing in a freeroll sponsored by an actual forum. This is my first and only forum I have been apart of, so maybe my perception was a little blurred. My fault for not realizing that it is a PUBLIC forum. Although i'm sure most players here are at least above average, probably better than myself, but as with any free tournament, there will be a large handful of Crazzies. I continued to watch the play after I had been taken out. Buck, you're right. The play was better. This by no means is going to deter me from playing with everyone again and again.

And yes monoxide, online betting patterns were what I was talking about when I said "other than game play", and my chip donation helped someone out to win a seat. So maybe it wasnt a monetary donation, but a donation nonetheless.

Good luck everyone

You will enjoy your time online much much more if you make a deposit and play some real money games.

The play is way better, freerolls are far from enjoyable if you are looking for a good poker game.
