I really liked NLP, its techniques were simple and easy to understand. I decided to share with the community some short stories that contain the key to understanding these techniques. We all go through moments while playing poker, and these stories may come in handy for you to become calmer in decision-making and therefore more effective

As the cards were dealt, John's heart rate increased. He was feeling nervous and unsure of his hand. The pot was getting bigger and he didn't want to lose. Suddenly, he remembered the Swish pattern that he had learned in his NLP training. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

In his mind, John saw himself confidently making the winning hand. He imagined the sound of the cards flipping over and the chips being pushed towards him. Then, he imagined a small image of himself feeling nervous and unsure, like a TV screen in his mind.

He quickly replaced that image with a new one of himself feeling calm, confident and in control. He imagined that image getting bigger and brighter until it completely replaced the old one. He heard the sound of a swish in his mind and opened his eyes.

To his surprise, John felt completely different. His heart rate had slowed down, and he felt more focused and in control. He confidently placed his bets and ended up winning the pot.

From that moment on, John knew that he had a powerful tool to help him stay calm and confident during his poker games. The Swish pattern had helped him overcome his nervousness and win big.

After losing several hands in a row, Sarah started to feel frustrated and defeated. She decided to try the Anchoring technique she had learned in her NLP training. She closed her eyes and thought of a time when she felt confident and in control. She imagined that feeling getting stronger and brighter. Then, she anchored that feeling by pressing her thumb and index finger together. From that moment on, every time she needed a boost of confidence during the game, she pressed her fingers together and felt the same sense of calm and control she had anchored before

Mark was playing in a high-stakes poker tournament and was feeling overwhelmed by the pressure. He decided to try the Reframing technique he had learned in his NLP training. He started to reframe his negative thoughts into positive ones. For example, instead of thinking "I'm going to lose," he reframed it to "I'm going to learn from this experience and become a better player." By reframing his negative thoughts, Mark was able to stay focused and confident throughout the tournament, eventually winning a significant sum of money.

As the pressure mounted,Alex began to feel his nerves getting the better of him. He was about to fold his hand when he remembered the Circle of Excellence technique he had learned in his NLP training. He closed his eyes and imagined a circle of light surrounding him, filled with all of his positive qualities and strengths. He imagined himself stepping into that circle and feeling the power and confidence it gave him. Then, he opened his eyes and continued playing. From that moment on, Alex felt more centered and in control during his games
