It all depends on your circumstances, you could be a shift worker, who plays at very different times every week. I think it all boils down to personal preference and commitments.
On-line it is variable because you could be playing at home at midday against players from all around the World who are playing in the early hours of the morning or very late at night, depends on their geographical location and time zone.

I'm studying medicine and on days when I don't have anything I wake up in the morning and I'm going to play 1 tournament a day, I'm doing well in the morning tournaments but not so much at night

I like to sleep in the morning. In my opinion, morning sleep is the best. In the evenings I never sleep, and I always go to bed very late, only in the morning. That's why my favorite time to play is evenings and nights. In addition, in the morning my brain is so used to sleep that it simply cannot think of anything

I don't have free time in the morning. Even on weekends, I'm always busy in the morning. Therefore, despite the fact that my brain works better in the morning, I still only have time to play in the evenings.

It really depends on everyone's habits and life style on top of the tournaments schedules. The best tourneys take place in the evenings for most regions of the globe. But I guess cash players don't have that issue
