In my country (brazil) poker still suffers a lot of prejudice, many people like me grew up listening to stories of people losing everything they had in the game... in a country with the most consolidated game among the daily lives of people like the USA, the Is poker still seen as a synonym for addiction or a way to lose money as it is in Brazil, or is it more easily accepted in the social circle?
