How many has been your worst experience in poker, losing money that you couldn't lose, and what problems did it bring you? Personally, I entered a game of 1/2 blinds, I lost 1,100 of the money that was destined to buy a vehicle, I was able to recover, few or almost no one dares to tell their bad experiences, we don't know each other and it will probably never happen, so I went ahead haha just leave it go out

I lost around $60k at Niagara Falls casino in 2013 and haven’t played for 10 years after that.
It didn’t really affect my life by a lot because I was making a lot more during that time, but it got to the point when it felt like a waste. Plus I was drinking and partying too much and it felt like I’m pushing myself into a ditch with that type of behaviour.

Next time donate your 60 grand to a poor person like me, as long as it hasn’t caused you novice and potential harm :ROFLMAO:
Just making a joke mate
We should never treat this subject of losing money we cannot afford to lose as a joke. You did the right thing, stayed away of the tables as much as possible and ever do this mistake again.

If I knew any better I would probably save up the money 😂
I was in my 20’s, wild and stupid, no family no responsibilities 😁 I don’t regret though, it was a fun time 🤪

I regret for you then, no problem mate, we all make stupid things when we are young. The most important is that we are able to recognize such mistakes and keep moving or walking like Johnny Walker :ROFLMAO:
Now we take money and poker as a serious business, this is what matters.

The anecdote you tell is typical of a person who has problems with gambling. I only play with money that I am willing to lose.

Yes, you are a gambler:Roflmao: :ROFLMAO: no I play with the money I'm ready to lose because it makes no sense to play with the money you need, spend it on the right thing and play poker at least at a small bet but so as not to regret losing later

Playing On-line or in a Casino, I always only play with money I can afford to lose, If I cannot afford to burn it, I don't get involved, once playing on-line I registered for 10 sit and go games and lost every one over a 8 hour period, the very next day I went back and registered for 8 games and over a 12 hour marathon I won 6, came 2nd in one, and 3rd place in another, but making money in each game.
Poker is not an exact science and anything can happen, bankroll Management is the only sure way to lose and then come back to play again, that is what keeps me in profit and able to take losing streaks in my stride, because everyone goes through a losing period, the secret is to survive them.

C. Things that happen when you're young, it's an anecdote relax, I'm sure at some point everyone has lost something they couldn't, they just don't say it, the one who says he's not a liar

Situations where you do everything right, but don't get the desired result, are very difficult to understand. Therefore, it is necessary to be very careful with numbers, otherwise it will be difficult to cope with emotions. Overestimating your strength and underestimating your variance are two of the easiest ways to lose money quickly in poker. Managing funds is a key part of poker. The main reason poker players go broke (if you don't have skill) is poor management of funds. They don't have a certain margin that could help overcome a bad streak. Or they are simply playing at limits that are too high given the available funds. Practicing good bankroll management is like budgeting in everyday life. You won't be able to pay your bills if you're constantly living beyond your means in the “real world”. The same is true in the world of poker.

I made a rule to myself to never play with money I'm not prepared to lose, so even though I lost everything I had on online accounts now and then due to frustration/bad play/simple bad runs, I never really lost much money overall (like 100$ at most, if we're talking about a single incident). I do have some friends who I know that lost over 50k over a short periods of time, or gambled away 5k in casino on pokerstars in 30 min, after getting some bad beats on the tables.

Good afternoon.Fortunately,I have never experienced such a terrible loss playing poker .The key is that you must set your limits in this game. That said ,you will never ruin your bankroll.....people call it bankroll management.

I don't play money that I have to use for important things, as that can bring you a lot of problems. So I recommend not using money that you can't spend.

Luckily for me, I lost a lot in online betting and learned bankroll management there... So when I turned my attention to poker I was able to avoid big losses easily.

That's why I usually play freerolls and from there go to satellites and reach a big prize from that point start banking
