How many has your worst experience been in poker, losing money that you couldn't afford to lose, and what problems did it bring you? Personally, I entered a game of half blind, I lost 1,100 of the money that was destined to buy a vehicle, I was able to recover it, few or almost no one dares to tell their bad experiences, we don't know each other and it will probably never happen, so I went ahead haha just let it out
That's why I usually play freerolls and from there go to satellites and reach a big prize from that point start banking

in the past, I have a lot of such stories, making large sums (for me) on poker sites was utter stupidity and a bad experience in my life;)

Interesting topic, I at one time when I started playing 13 years ago while working abroad. The money I had set aside, some $2000 I lost playing mtt tournaments with a buy-in of $20-30 without being able to play completely.

£260. I usually play £5-10 buy in home games live, but on my second time visiting a poker room I blew it with a few bad plays and losing £160 with the second nuts.

Oops...😔 Try to bet only on the money you are willing to lose. I'm sorry for what you suffered

Fortunately I always managed the money involved in games well, so while I played live, recreationally, it was never more than $10, it was always in cash, so nothing that was needed, playing online now, I always respect the bankroll.

Once I managed to win more than 700 usd in a short session of spin&go, at that moment I decided to withdraw 200 usd for some expenses that I had and I thought that 500 usd would be enough for me to manage my banking and be able to make a little more money, but no, I had a series of bad MTT tournaments and I also lost a lot in the Pks casino and in the end those 500 usd disappeared in a single day, afterwards I felt bad for not being able to manage that money better.

In poker I don't have a monumental loss, perhaps in the beginning perhaps by signing up for a tournament with real money instead of the ticket but it didn't exceed 50 dollars, where if I have lost heavily it is sports betting but the most painful I think I remember was in a hockey game and I bet something like 500 dollars to win 10 and the bet was that the goal was not going to fall and they were second, I think I remember that it was in bwin, a very silly bet:((n)

The bookmaker will always be able to make money! It's really hard to be able to win anything playing! At least that's what happens to me, I play for a hobby and to distract myself

I never lose money that I can not afford to lose because I only play SNG or MTT with low buy-in.
This bankroll management is my key to feel comfortable at the table and helps me to take the right decisions , I am not afraid of losing money.

I lost around $60k at Niagara Falls casino in 2013 and haven’t played for 10 years after that.
It didn’t really affect my life by a lot because I was making a lot more during that time, but it got to the point when it felt like a waste. Plus I was drinking and partying too much and it felt like I’m pushing myself into a ditch with that type of behaviour.
Has your game changed since 2013 or have you developed your poker skills? Are you now just playing online poker freerolls and everything as a hobby

It's a matter of responsibility. You must play with your own bank for the game and respect the limits that it includes. It might be just $50, but if you focus on playing the micro limits and building that bankroll slowly but steadily, it will be better than depositing a higher amount and going one-shot at a more expensive tournament. I've gone bankrupt several times but always with values that I could lose. I respect my bankroll, so I play more with less and I get small but consistent results.
