I have already read books but what squeezes me most today is the lack of emotional structure:(:(:(

Variance is a factor of the game. but if you're losing more than winning maybe it's the knowledge factor

First 6mths -2K USD

Hi,

I've been a fairly solid live med/hi limit player here in ON. and 1/2, 2/5 low no limit player meeting regularly +10bb/hr for usually up to 6 hours and would lose my shirt online lol.

It's another world and I feel you really have to be a machine when it comes to beats and quick SNGs, and those casino style SPIN&GO , Tornado, etc. type games.

I found myself winning steadily for two hours and losing all and then another (x) because of a few 50-100$ heads up Hyper SNG or short handed/stacked Hyper (anything). lol... I doubt any grinders out there playing 300$ 50/100 NLHE 3 handed games :p

Hopefully some will agree, fun but demands discipline.

Cheers,

dMMships

i play with 888 poker. When i started i lost about $200/- (not in a day) just to find out which game suit me most. Then i found that i like "flopomania" (a new version of holdem). I played there and recovered a good portion of $ 200/-. Unfortunately, they stopped "flopomania" after few months. Thereafter i started playing fixed limit games and gaining most of the time.

What i am trying to say is that you need to lose some money initially to gain experience and adjust with that particular type of game from where you can make an U-turn and win. initial loss might be an investment.

i agree with you on your thoughts.

We have our ups and downs at poker tables. You can lose money easily but in a long-term you need to have results to balance them. I must say that don't deposit so much, try to use your bankroll as brave as you can.
However, you know which game you 're good at, so fingers crossed for you, you can make it.

I agree that all investments made in poker are considered training for profit in any future tournament or table we are going to play! enjoy every experience, try to understand all the bad beats (worst part ..) and take the ever-increasing experience baggage to the next challenges! good luck!

Same here. I'm still in that phase of losing money on poker tables and experiencing differente types of games. At the moment, it seems that i'm more profitable at Spin & Go's.
