I believe you should always take a break from every action except the basic necessities of life
Also as a perk I find that I have always a better quality of work or play when I come back to something.
I find it tricky to take a break from playing games though. hehe I should work on that

Absolutely! I think breaks are necessary, when you feel unmotivated, trouble with bankroll, tilt or when you want to take a break for yourself.

I recommend breaks too because it helps to kinda rejuvenate the mind from thinking about pass games and access how to make better approach in dealing with hands

Hi, of course, if you want, you can take a vacation. But do not forget that the longer your vacation, the more experience you will lose.

I was thinking sometimes the stress is too much. Is it ok to take a week or a month off ,so i can refocus? I just fear - i might lose my touch with poker, and maybe forget valuable lessons.

yes you can, in fact you should, and you will certainly not lose any knowledge already acquired, a rest is even good to review the tournaments and games played.
