If you had $10K, which events would you play in at WSOP?

Easy...if you have less than a month left to live.
Otherwise GOOD QUESTION. LOL
I guesss u could move to Thailand or some where like that and live well on 10K but the air fare and moving all your stuff over there is probably gonna cut alot into the 10k...

I would play in 8-10 of the $350-$500 satelites then I would play in 3-4 of the $1000 buyin smaller bracelet events and if I won a satelite or made about 50k in the smaller tourny then buy in to the ME, if I had won a satelite to the ME then I would play it.

I think I'd play in the smaller events and if I cashed for lets say 50k then I'd buy into the main event and pocket the 40k.

Main event. Although the field is huge, I would estimate at least 50% of the players are sub par/average vs. the other events which are filled with the best players in the world. With a little luck (or at least no really bad luck), I think it would be somewhat easy to cash, after I cashed, the pressure would be off and you never know what could happen.

Somewhat easy to cash? Thats a good one look at all the pros that dont even get past day one.

To answer post though. Probably smaller events. Will let you know when the time comes for me though.

I would only play the smaller buyin tourneys if the blind structure was good. In other words... I'd probably just play the MainEvent.

IMO i would go straigt for the main event $10k buy-in. Go for the big win. The ROI is way bigger than any other tounrey out there so go 4 it! Never know, u cud hit the final table which includes mindless $$$$$$$$$!!!!!
If ur the pussy type then y not use ur $10k to play in 2 tourneys ($1k) then use rest of that $10k to play in cash games. I bet the donks out there who play ring are unreal.
I cant wait to goo vegas!!!

you guys are correct, i am over 70 won't live long . Not too sure living index at Thai. Here , at where i am. 5 bucks US could properly buy you a lovely day with decent meal , plus chickS put you to sleep. Sigh... but i am 2 old for chickS, 2-3 still should be fine.

Seriously. $10,000 isn't getting me into anything wsop, and especially notthe ME. I'll start considering that when the ol' BR hits $250,000. Around $1,000,000 or so a ME buy in starts to be WTH money, so yeah, ask me again in a couple years.

I would try to get into some smaller events, and use the winnings to try to get into the ME.

Definitely one of the earlier $1500 events. And then win enough to buy-in to the Main Event.

I think for the first time I would play some of the smaller buy in events. Much as the main event would be tempting I think I would stand a better chance a bit lower down.

Main event for sure, it's where all the T.V action is and you might catch yourself watching yourself poorly/masterfully play a hand against Ivey!
