I started playing poker playing in the internet on facebook games and gaming site of pokerde play money, after a while my colleague who was playing poker in real money in poker stars introduced me to the site and how it works from there to this day plays already He is 8 years.

I'm quite a gambler to poker, I played slots and especially roulette but it was alive. The time has come when the government is the whole thing covered, I was interrupted while underground casinos and shut them down. In the end, was lying on the couch in sorrow and you will see what the poker show, since I have 6 years playing poker.

Started playing at deer camp with father & 15 members of deer camp. I started an uproar when I thought 3 pair beat 3 of a kind & informed them my Dad told me that. Needless to say, I was wrong & my Dad never heard the end of it that year.
I started playing PLO after having good sessions in blackjack. I stopped playing PLO when the players from the PLO table would leave the table searching for me in high stakes blackjack hoping I would join the game. I was their fish.
I then proceeded to get into 7-card stud & LOVED and still LOVE that game. Unfortunately casinos hardly ever spread that game anymore.

I started in 2010. It was the end of season for football so we didn't have training at the beginning of the break and then was living on my own when I split from the ex. Also only had a part time job. I needed something to keep me occupied. So I turned to poker. I at first like a few on here I started playing zynga on fb for a while to understand it and get confidant. Before I decided to turn to real money online I thought it's best to play live and hear other players experience online and advice. My first cash tournament was a pub tournament and I loved it and finished third. After playing with at the pub a few times I then turned to online. I've had ups and downs like all players but I'm not the biggest fan of online poker. I prefer live tournaments and stay away from cash tables. The only thing with playing live is time when having a full time job with a shift pattern all over place. I want to play live more often as I miss playing them regular. I now have my own poker club on home games and I love managing that as it's nice to still be apart of poker, another reason I've just joined cardchat as I enjoy reading people talking about poker.

My friend has been playing poker for a long time. I decided to try for the sake of boredom. I play for almost two years. And I do not regret that learned to play poker. I would like to try other forms of poker. I'm not hazardous person.

HOW I STARTED
I started when I stopped at a casino in Oklahoma.
I played and won at a game called Ultimate Holdem which is heavily favored for the house. I played another time and lost my butt. I liked the poker part of the game so I made my way to the poker room. I played and lost again but had a blast.
Then I was working a security job at a truck stop (to help pay for my son's competitive baseball) and I saw a guy in the cab of his truck playing on party poker. He told me about online poker and that is when I really started to play for lower stakes.
Shortly after that Party Poker left the USA and I changed to Poker Stars. I lost a lot. Reloaded and Reloaded. I got enough points for a Poker Stars sweat shirt though. It was the most expensive sweat shirt ever. I think it cost me $1200.
That is when I started reading and managing my bankroll. I was able to cash out several times. Just as I was getting consistently good and profitable then Black Sunday came.
I miss the good ole days. I am not thrilled with any of the choices for USA players today so I mostly play 1-2 NL and 4-8 Limit at the casinos in Oklahoma.

I don't know when for sure but I grew up in a family where when they watched asian gambling shows/movies. By the time I was about 12, I learned the basics of Texas Hold Em from my uncles cause they played on partypoker at the time and played a little. At that time I was into the Starcraft/eSports scene and read some players retired and went to play Poker (such as Elky)
Fast forward to about 2011, I played social poker for a little bit and made an account on Pokerstars before the whole shingdig and realized today that I played and learned then I would have been better today than I am now.
Fast forward again to 2015. I played more social poker, played freerolls, and found out about the WPTAL. I bought books and started learning/studying and watching poker plays.. and yeah. I fell in love with it.

I am a recent graduate math major and enjoy playing cards on my free time from teaching college. I knew poker from a young age and just recently started trying to play competitively. I am hoping that I can make it to the wsop sometime in the next 4 years! Right now I am only playing NL holdem, but I'm very open to other games and versions of holdem (kill pots, etc).
