So today i got accepted into a new job ! 8am-5:30pm ! and i have to wake up early .. so i gotta fix my sleeping schedule
But i still want to play poker and enjoy the game and most of our cash games start around 9-10PM and go till 1 and 2 am .. and that will only give me 5-6 hours of sleep . and im not used to that yet specially that lately i was sleeping more like 8-10 hours !
Any advices on how to balance these things cause i dont want to lose any.

Firstly I think you have to focus on work. This is the most important, just as you can't go to the cinema or pub every night when you are working, neither can you play poker until 1-2am, assuming you want to be successful in your job.

Maybe you find you can play poker 1 midweek night per week, and catch up on the sleep the other nights. You still have Friday and Saturday too if you are working a Mon-Fri schedule of course.

Life is a balance, so its best to get used to it and be realistic

Working a full time job may affect your poker games in several ways. You may have less time to dedicate to studying and practicing poker, which could impact your performance. Additionally, your work schedule may conflict with the timing of poker games, leading to a lack of sleep and fatigue during gameplay

I had almost the same situation. I worked at my job from 8:00 to 19:00. I would return home around 19:30, then do household chores, and at 22:00 I would start playing poker. I would play until 1:00 and go to bed, then wake up at 7:00 and go to work again, and this was the case for six months, only on weekends I could play more poker. I can say that it's difficult to combine work and poker, I was always tired and wanted to sleep. Therefore, if you have the opportunity, choose one thing - either work or poker. Or you can find a job with a free schedule or remotely, and it will be easier

In your case, I think you better focus on the most important thing, which is your work. It's not worth sacrificing your quality of sleep, adjust to playing tournaments where it doesn't disturb your sleep, or leave it to play on days off. Hope I helped gl;)

Do play live or online? If it's online, you can start your poker session a couple of hours earlier and have enough time to sleep. If it's live, I guess it will be very difficult to balance the both things. Maybe on friday and weekends you can keep your session of 9-10PM and on the other days you play earlier.

Because of my job, I either skip CC freerolls or play without trying to win. Since tournaments are held very late. And the final table, it's already five in the morning. But work is a priority, as it gives real income, poker is a hobby.

Finding a balance between 10-hour sessions and YouTube is not so difficult (although many people can’t cope with this task), it’s much more difficult if you need to work from 10 to 18, and not oversleep your metro station, and hungry regulars of micro-limits have a minimum Don't forget to make a deposit. You have to work harder on the game, get better sleep, be in good concentration and shape. It is very important that I enjoy playing and working on the game, which is the determining factor that tips the scales in favor of poker. Well, the fish is an irregular player, so, according to my observations, the clearing begins to gather around Wednesday.Distributing time between poker and everything else is still so-so. In general, poker can be combined with work. But if you plan to make a living playing poker, then you have to give the game all the time. Playing an hour a day, the results can be expected for years.

I guess you have to cut back and concentrate on weekend tournaments.

In the long run it becomes uncomfortable or you get used to it. I need my time to sleep, to be in bed for about 8 hours.

You will have to choose either sleep or poker. If I had such a situation, I would choose sleep. At least you can play poker on weekends. But don't try to do both.

If you enjoy playing poker as a hobby but have limited time due to your full-time job, here are a few suggestions that you might find helpful:

  1. Set a schedule: One way to make time for poker is to set a regular schedule for playing. This could mean playing a few hours on a particular day of the week, or setting aside a specific time each day to play. By creating a routine, you can help ensure that you have time for poker each week.
  2. Play online: If you don't have time to travel to a physical casino or poker room, consider playing poker online. Online poker sites are available 24/7, so you can play whenever you have a spare moment. Just be sure to choose a reputable site that is licensed and regulated to ensure a safe and fair playing environment.
  3. Join a poker club or league: Joining a local poker club or league can be a great way to meet other players and play regularly. Clubs and leagues often have regular events or tournaments scheduled, so you can plan ahead and make time for poker.
  4. Play shorter games or tournaments: If you don't have a lot of time to spare, consider playing shorter games or tournaments that can be completed more quickly. For example, you could play a Sit & Go tournament, which typically lasts around an hour, or play cash games with lower stakes so that you can finish in a reasonable amount of time.
Remember, it's important to balance your hobby with your work and other commitments. By setting aside specific times for poker and being mindful of your time management, you can enjoy your hobby while still maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

On weekends it is worth playing poker, and on working days a lot of work and quality rest

Unfortunately, I get tired at work. Then you have to play tired. The effectiveness of the session is decreasing....

At the moment, this does not concern me, as I work remotely and this does not prevent me from working and enjoying a beautiful game at the same time
