Now I don't play cause portugal is trying the regulamentation of the game. But when this "black days" were gone, I will play for sure as many as I can: during the week about 3-4 hours a day and in the weekend play about 8-10 hours a day.

I'm studying, Game pokerstars only leagues that are insane. * * Open skill try to improve my game without spending money. I'm just going to play big tournaments if I can make free banking.

I wanted to ask everyone how often do you play poker? especially mtts. I sometimes play 3-4 times a week and sometimes ill be playing once in 3-4 months.
Does this affect your game as well? Will playing rarely make you worse?

mtt and sng for me. Lately I've not been having much luck at cash games, but I feel like my tournament play is dialing in with me understanding situations and such.

I'm not sure what it would be like if I left for a few weeks, but after taking 6 months off I think it made a huge difference.

The thing is I think you need to invest some serious time to really improve. And you can't really do that if you only play 2 days every month or something like that.

I play 4 to 5 hours of 6 max cash games shortly after breakfast.
Then I play single table turbo SNG's for another 3 to 5 hours.
Depending on my win rate I may call it a night, or I may enter an MTT.

I don't sleep much... lol

Hi Chapsteal,

I play MTTs quite often, anywhere between 10-20 a week depending on my mood. Most are generally however, and as you might know, are very hard to cash in and usually is not worth the amount of time put into them.

I am currently unemployed but looking for a job to start asap.

Would I ever play online poker for a living? Probably not, but I think if you can get good enough that it can provide supplemental income part-time.

I play live MTTs every 1-2 months, love cash irregularly and online occasionally mainly because the offering in NY are not too good. Yes I do miss Bovada. I do balance my lack of play with a lot of study, listening to podcasts, reading articles, discussing poker with friends, reading books, watching videos and reading forums like cardschat. I think this helps in reducing the affect of lack of play hurting my game, but do believe table time is beneficial in its own way. I do work full time, and consider myself a serious poker enthusiast

I don't know if it hurts your game to play rarely. I have not tried that.
