Hi.
$ 500, a steady income per month, would be enough for me to quit my main job and spend all my time playing poker.
Good luck.

My main goal is to earn more than 7 thousand dollars a month in poker, I am just starting and now I am earning an average of 200 dollars a month, I have to keep working hard to increase my earnings, for now I am fine with that amount of money, but one always wants to grow and improve, and that is why one must always be constant, very disciplined and a lot of study to increase our level of play and achieve our goals that we propose, good luck to everyone.

Life in mexico is cheap, I can survive with $300, but $500 is the usual amount I spend on a monthly basis. Poker is just a hobby and pays for my gambling issue in the casinos :(

Quanto você precisaria para uma vida normal?
Não estou falando de milhões, centenas ou dezenas de milhares.
Estou falando de uma renda real que você gastaria em uma vida normal.
Pessoalmente, eu teria renda mensal suficiente de US $ 800 a US $ 1.000.
Embora sejamos todos humanos e sempre queremos mais.

Pretendo começar a ganhar cerca de U$ 1000 por mês ficarei muito satisfeito...:D:D:D:D:)

I have the same standard of living as you! I think that 1000 $ for a good life would be enough for me too! I will work on the game and dream that someday I can consistently make $ 1000 playing poker! Good luck at the tables and in life!
It all depends on the needs of the player, it would be enough for me to receive from $ 350 per month for a great pastime)

Hi Lena:)

Coming from the poor, I do wanna believe I can have my own house with a nice family and friends. I always wanted to live next to a lake. That's my dream, that's why I'm playing. Once I achieved it, I can take poker as a hobby, until that I'm hoping to have a chance on making my and others life better in the main time.

I would have to commit way more time than I am willing to for the ability to "survive ". If I were to only have poker as my income, it would have to be around $5,000.
I also think it would have to be playing cash games as tournaments have way too much variance.

200 dollars a month would be enough for me for small expenses. I won't quit my job.

How much would you need for a normal life?
I'm not talking about millions, hundreds, or tens of thousands.
I'm talking about a real income that you would spend on a normal life.
Personally, I would have enough monthly income of $800-$1000.
Although we are all human and we always want more.

Always wanting more is not about being human, but rather about lacking discipline while seeking real happiness in acquiring stuff.

My objective is not to become rich, but rather to achieve financial freedom.
And here's where discipline is key.
As a financially independent man you have to obey some thresholds instead of constantly raising your standards.
I'm sure that this goal can hardly be achieved by playing poker for fun. I mean, with poker, yes, but for fun, no. Knowing that you HAVE to play in order to earn for a living would take the fun out of it.

Nevertheless, with some good, well-thought investments one can achieve this objective, especially nowdays within the crypto world. (investing, not trading)

Now to answer your question, I think $5k-$10k per month would be enough, not only to live well but mostly to also do some good for the society and planet.
I think that everybody should want to leave something great behind.

If it were up to me, I would win everything within my reach and a little more, since it doesn't always happen as one wishes, it would be good if it reaches me to stay well at the level I'm at and over time go up levels.
