There is a big percentage of the factor of luck in poker. It is not the most impotant. You cannot play only with luck. You need judgement, experience, study, maths and luck.

There is certainly a degree of luck in each hand or session. However poker is a game of making decisions with incomplete information on the most likely outcome. Those who do the best at putting themselves in the best situations most often will come out on top.

How much luck do you think is involved in Texas Hold 'em?

There is a lot of luck involved in poker.

For example AA vs. any pair is a victor approximately 4:1. But approximately 20% of the time your opponent will win.

20% of the time is a huge number with respect to odds. It's not 1 in a million. It's 1 in 5!

So yes, everyone who gets AA and even gets it all in preflop will have a bad beat story on a regular basis.
