Hello guys,

So I recently got the news that the Romanian government wants to tax gambling winnings (poker included in Romania) with 40% of your winnings. So I was wandering how much do the government in your country tax you for your winnings?

In argentina, the gaming tax is 33%; the profits that the government takes are very high. It is unfortunate that you leave so much money to the government and you do not see the best in your country with so much tax.

So now the taxes for poker players winnings are like this:
for a withdrawal of 13 000 euros the tax is 1%
for a withdrawal of 13 000 to 89 000 the tax is 130 euros + 16% for what is over 13 000 euros
for a withdrawal of anything bigger then 89 000 euros the tax is 12 000 euros + 25% of anything over 89 000 euros

And they want to change it into this form 1st of August

for a withdrawal of max 600 euros a 10% tax
for a withdrawal of any amount over 600 euros to 2000 euros you have to pay 60 euros + 20% of anything that is over 600 euros
and for a withdrawal of anything over 2000 euros you have to pay 350 euros + 40% of anything that is over 2000 euros

I really hope this law does not go through

All gambling fees are tax free :)

Although some say that if you try to withdraw atleast 1k from unregulated site directly to your bank account then you've to pay some taxes or so.
Luckily i havent been smart enough to try that (since i only use skrill to deposit/withdrawal nowadays) ...
