Poker teaches you cool little life things, such as discipline, emotional control etc. However, what it doesn't teach you are many other skills applicable to other meaningful employment.
So, How does or did poker affect your life? And do you feel like it is a positive or negative influence?
It takes a lot of time out of my life and I'm not even sure I'm going to win.Plus it makes me mentally tired if the race is long.It's not worth it, but I do it sometimes.
Poker taught me to have patience, self-control, to handle pressure situations, and to be more focused. During the games you play, you evolve a lot at these points.
Poker doesn't affect my life as I don't have enough time to fully dedicate myself to poker. I hope to one day have enough money to start a life as a professional.
