Just wondering how some people play em....I get screwed with em every freakin time...It just sucks to always have a 50% to win the pot preflop

just see a flop, you are 7 to 1 to hit a set, so 7 out of every flop you will win, just make it add up, lol, some say to see a flop no matter what, but i would say to leave yourself an escape route, much like AK, sure big cards but if you miss, you must be able to get away and still play, so for me i try to keep it at 1 7th of my stack or there abouts to play any PP 8 and below, again most say 10 and below but i dont mind 9's, i am a full rank amature though, so dont quote me in your book, lol

Low pairs are usually are meant to be played in cheap multiway pots. If you can get in for cheap with a few callers then your implied odds are pretty high if you hit on the flop.

Depends alot apon position, any reads and if I am playing MTT or Money tables.

Say the wonderful Button or even CO and everyone folded to me. Time to raise it here around 3xBB especially if I know the button loves any ace X and king X. The blinds of course need a hand to fight with while acting 1st so the majority of the time they either fold or re-raise. Faced with any re-raise I will then have to think about it.

Other then that it is normally a limp in and hope to hit a set against a board that isn't to dangerous.

really depends on the table, the players and your style of play, some scenarios:

1. Out of position and if there are any raises: fold
2. A few limps: limp in
3. On the button or in late position and everyone else folded and you are willing to gamble: 2.5-3x raise of the bb to take the blinds and if you get callers a continuation bet, maybe half or 3/4 of the pot post flop to try to take the pot down (this is only if you are comfortable as this is definitely a higher risk play here)

I do #3 from time to time in the right position to vary my play and if you hit the set, you have a big pot on your hands otherwise I try to take it at the flop and if it doesn't work, I move on and check or fold the turn/river.

You want to see the flop for cheap and If you do not hit trips GET OUT !!
If the table is down to 4 players or less I usually push a little more with the low pockets like 2's and 3's

Play them the same as any pocket pair, if you can get a cheap look at the flop, go for it, otherwise fold. I don't like pocket pairs if I can't see the flop without betting too much.

in tournys i fold them from early position only from late if i can see a flop for the price of a BB or 2xBB then i do sometimes depending on my table (loose, tight etc) if i don't flop my set i check fold, not worth getting into a conflict with 22 because you will probably lose

It might be painful, but sometimes you have to drop those deuces in the can like they're the devil.

Post a specific example or two, no matter what anyone has said in here it's impossible to briefly answer such a general question as 'how do you play pocket 2s?'

You're better off finding a hand or two where you feel you misplayed 22, or failing that just inventing a specific example.

I agree with most of you depends on the site, table etc. I like to see the flop with any pair, the lower the cost the better with small pockets.
