I usually just smirk and go on with my day. I've played enough freerolls to numb the pain of bad beats.
Then there are those special moments where i am dealt AA and call a preflop shove late in a tournament, of course i call. My opponent reveals a bone chilling 37o and i laugh hysterically. I continue laughing as the flop hits, the turn comes and he now has 4 outs, at this moment my laughter fades to a smirk. I can feel it coming, the end is near. Obviously i lose on the river.
I get a little irritated and go watch funny bad beat vids on youtube it always cheers me up. In the end im glad he shoved with 37o and won. :shot:

The key to losing is learning! It doesn't really matter how you lose, a bad beat or a good beat (if there is such a thing...... Probably not, but perhaps if there is a bad beat then there must be a god beat!), the most important thing is to reflect on what happened and what you could do next time in the same or similar situation. If may be that you played the hand perfectly, but we're unlucky. It may be that you made a wrong move and next time could benefit from something different.

So, what I do is close my eyes briefly, don't let the loss affect me and run through the hand in my head and consider how I could do things differently next time.

Do not let the loss affect how you play...don't chase, don't get aggressive, just continue with your normal style...whatever that may be.

I'm very upset, I promise myself I'll never play, and two minutes later it I am in front of the PC.

After a bad beat if you are mad, please stop playing for about 5 minutes. Bad beats suck and they will put most people on tilt if it's for a large sum of money. Here's a good tip. Walk away from the computer or table. Just get up and walk away and remember that money isn't always the most important thing in you're life. This logic will help to put you back on you're game. Use this logic to put you back into you're A Game.

Since I started being active here, I learned I have to realize that bad beats are a part of poker. Nobody wins all the time. So if I blow up every time I get beat by lesser cards, I would probably have to buy a new laptop, TV, cell phone, dishes, and my dog may get kicked a lot. I love my dog and I like the things I have, so I let it go after each hand.

What I started doing was to keep track of how many times I did it to another player. And then that helped me to get over it. I still hate it, especially when you call somebody who you think is jamming for no reason, and you are right, yet still end up losing. I had AK suited last night, and raised 3xBB preflop, and an idiot with 78 suited shoved and beat me when he flopped an 8 and I couldn't get a pair. You just gotta get over it quickly, and remembering the times I hit runner runner flush to win a hand helps me realize that I do the same sometimes.

Something so simple could be a mind-altering thing, I'm going to implement this and I hope others do as well! If you play several thousand hands this should be ~50%, no? :) (50% as in # of suckouts vs # of times you suck out vs others)

As many hand you play as many bad beats to follow...
They are beyond our reach,we cannot control bad luck,so we have to move on.
You just accept the things you cannot change and continue to play your game.

If I can stomach Carbon's hyper turbos (10 bb shove fests)... I can handle any bad beat. The variance there is ridiculous lol.

a bad beat is a big mistake one at a time where one does not want to budge and can not fold the other ... I see well , those moments react with anger and anger but then goes fast because I understand that the error is only mine , however if the river turns me my nuts then take it with more peace of mind that no longer runs but mine has this see things did not work out

I expect to get bad beat so i don't feel bad about it. You know your aces will lose to a lower pair ~ 1 out of 5 times. So when it happens you know you got it in good and will make money with it in the long run. Ofcourse, when you're deep in a tournament you get angry or mad. I think we all do, even the pro's. It sucks, you have to know how to handle with the bad beats. Jaime Staples made a really good video about bad beats. If you can follow that mindset you wont tilt about bad beats.

If I lose on a bubble to some donkey I will get pretty angry at how terrible some people play poker.. Most the time though I laugh at it and think its funny how well I put my money in and lose to some terrible player... Its really me wondering how some people play so bad in the end lol.. I get right back to playing.. I don't tilt.. Sometimes I mis-manage BR a little thinking I'm due for luck but... No tilt

It happens so often to me that I basically expect it most times! I just 'groan and bear it'... not much you can do. I figure it's a bonus if my cards hold up!

I kinda just smile and think of the last badbeat/suckout I gave someone. It works for me ;-)

Walk away from the computer and blow off some steam doing something else usually. If you live alone you can scream really loud to do this as well :)
