I challenge people to show me examples of "good varinance"
After you get good, you'll understand the odds online sites give
you are not true.
Then your attitude towards "bad beats" will improve because you'll understand (at least at e BOL a) they're cheating you.
I know because no one on Card Chat as ever posted examples of
favored hands winning a lot over a small sample. Only so called "bad hands" Think about it.
GL, have fun, and by all means, use your position!

As someone who had a very, very hard time improving his mental game: A thorough understanding of poker math - as well as how brutal variance can be, even for a winning player - has changed my perspective and expectations entirely. Further, I've had a lot of losses in my life that far, far exceed any loss I could experience at the poker table. Once again, putting things in proper perspective, there's really nothing to get upset about when you get coolered or sucked out on. It's just math, you're making +EV decisions that will profit in the long run, and all you *lost* was some money, while gaining experience.

The only logical thing is to take note of what happened and move on. Just like you do when you get AA in against QQ and stack villain. It's just another hand.

Poker's not a friendly game. Your opponent is going to constantly try to throw you off balance emotionally and if you let him, you have nobody but yourself to blame.

You have to start to consider: Ok, I hate this guy and what he's saying to me so how does widening my ranges and donating a stack to him help even the score? Obviously, it doesn't. In all reality, you shouldn't even be thinking that. There's no reason to have emotional feelings attached to different players at the table. Just play the game and trust that the results will come in time if you continue doing the right things. Key here: Start to and then continue doing the right things.

Hello to me it has worked that after losing a big pot and I have enough chips to continue betting, I stop I leave it in absent and velvo in 7 or 8 minutes and more calm and thus to recover.

I play almost exclusively online (casinos are at least an hour away and I have 3 kids), so it's as simple as going to the back patio and grabbing a smoke. If I still feel upset after 5 minutes or so it's time to shut down for a little bit.

techniques

In the last time I have been implementing disconnection techniques, it is like seeing from outside what happens without letting it affect us. Takes a long time to handle, but when you do you will see results

You have to realize that bad beats are going to happen, and they happen to all of us at some time or another. There's no point in sitting fn and blinding at the screen and losing your cool. If you were playing live, how would you react? Probably be philosophical about it, saying s**t happens and just carry on. So what makes playing on line any different? Do the same as if you were playing live.

It gets better once you realize (at least at Beat ON line) they cheat.
It doesn't mean you aren't going to win. It means once they
have your stats they DO rig it against you.
It only feels like a bad beat because they depend on a phalanx of
robots to tell you it's veryantz (I spell it right 80 percent)
Anyway, 50 cent SNG..
I just lost with AK vs AJ off suited..
Next hand I get JJ, and tell the players "BOL wants me out now we've been playing too long".
Sure enough, a guy goes all in w 88 and gets his set, on BOL.
Luckily, I type fast enough to get in the words, "Jacks coming next flop"
because after they stole the game from the me, the next flop
was J5J
I challenge all entrepreneurs to play on my terminal, because they don't know what's up.
Bottom line, they aren't all "bad beats" If you're experience is like mine, you're being cheated. If you're like me, try your hardest to make them suck at it.

I know you're
changing the subject, no one is talking about live poker.
Those companies depend on
naive folks like you to tell us we aren't being cheated when
we just sat there and watched it happen.

I am bad when I have a bad beat! I swear I try to explain to my misses what happend ( she has no clue about poker). And then I stop playing for a few days until the bad beat is totally out my head!

After losing so many times, I basically got over it whenever it happens.
And its expected prior to a game. So, when it happens now, I am better prepared.
Its a great feeling when I beat out a better hand..... Knowing, luck rides with everyone....

I would just start a new game. but if I had the better hand I would tell myself that I played the better poker and be content with the way it ended

Realize there are times you shouldn't win and you do so it is just a piece of the grand scheme of things. I look at if there was anything different I could have done. If I am frustrated I walk away for an hour or two or even a day.

My 4444-opponent 8888!It was a crushing blow on the river!I could not believe my eyes. After that debacle did not play for several days. But poker is unpredictable and because of this even more attractive game.

Bad beats is a part of the game. Of course, no one likes to loose with better hand. Especially hard it can be, if you take a bad luck streak and loose time after time with best hand. You just need to keep some patience, this unluck will go away, i,m sure.

When I get in a cooler situation in completely fine
However if it is a bad beat or if someone sucks out and take the pot on multiple occasions in a short space of time I will be titled and I normally take long breaks from the game, it's difficult for me to play through tilt especially if it is cause be some fish sucking out to me
