I know some home games can be any kind of poker.I was invited to play with some real nuts before, but I gotta tell you about this one.
So,I accepted an invitation to play poker at a guys home. The rules were the dealer picks what game he wanted to play, like dueces,and/or one eyed jacks wild.So its possible to have five or six of a kind, like 5 kings.,,,rediculous.My question is,if you play with dueces wild,Which hand is higher,5 kings((or five of anything)),or a royal straight flush??

5 of a kind beats a straight flush.

And Superman can beat Chuck Norris.

I played on PDC and they have a Draw poker game with Jokers wild. So, I had 2 pair with a Joker and went all in and lost to a higher 2 pair with no Joker. I thought I had a full house but... I contacted support and they told me the Joker is only used as an Ace or to complete a straight or a flush! So beware. Some of these home games with wild cards are really crazy and if you haven't played them, you go from being a shark to a fish before the game even starts!

Wild Card Poker Rankings

5 of a Kind
*5 Aces of course beat 5 Kings (and there is no such thing as 6 Kings)
In the event of a tie, the person with the fewest Wild cards wins.
eg. 3 Aces +2 wilds vs. 1 Ace +4 wilds = 3+2 wins.

Str8 Flush
*Of course Ace high = Royal
In the event of a tie, the person who has the Lowest value wild wins.
eg. A (W) Q J T vs. A K (W) J T = AK(W)JT wins.

Full House
*Dont get confused with "Naturals" winning. Lets say there's 2 pr on the board... K's and 6's. One player has a Wild card and the other has a 6. The wild card player has Kings full and the other has 6's full, the Wild card wins. But... Lets say the other has a K... They both would have Kings Full, but the player with the K would win as his is natural.

These are just my opinions. I used to Play Texas Hold'em on Pogo and have seen this a lot.

lo

Well Ive got to totally agree with you mogadown, thats how I learned at the age of about 10yrs old playing with toothpicks with my grandparents.
Ok on to the game I was in,After ending up more or less allin,I had 5 nines, and my opponent had a Royal strt flush. So I win right???...no,these nuts are telling me I lost.I asked how???,Their dumb hillbilly reason was *a royal straight flush beats anything*,...I said well ya,when nothing is wild it does...that didnt help my cause,so I asked the home owner, what are the table rules that you guys been playing in the past?He replyed that A royal beats anything is the way they been playing, even with wild cards..I said this is un-real,why didnt somebody lay down these rules before we started...Luckily for me this was only a nickle dime game and the pot was about 5-7 dollars.I did get quite mad,but kept my cool, and continued playing and won my money back and came out about 2 dollars ahead, but it taught me a valuable lesson ..So when you sit down at **Any** table, you better lay down the rules before the deck is opened....Ive played alot since then and never ran across a game with those backward azz hillbilly rules.....a straight flush beats anything,,,what a bunch of retards, clearly they never played cards much and I hope they try this in a casino or backroom bar!!!!...and in case you might agree with these hicks,5 of a kind will beat a royal straight flush when playing with wildcards!
